Indiana Horst
Paint.NET v3.5 Beta 1 - Refreshed user interface with new icons and visual styling. On Windows 7 and Vista, it is enhanced for Aero and "glass". - On Windows 7, the Text tool will use DirectWrite (instead of GDI) which gives even better performance and quality. - JumpList Support ;). +Frank B. Subscriber² Posted September 21, 2009 Subscriber² Share Posted September 21, 2009 The 'glass enhanced' UI of Paint.NET 3.5 beta 1 looks quite beautiful: More apps like this please. Indiana Horst
I wonder why it don't listed here, but most of the Windows Live Apps like Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Messenger and so on, have JumplistSupport. But i think a little bit more interesting is the new Zune 4.0 Software, wich is available as native x64-Version, have JumpList Support and a Smart DJ Option that will generate a related playlist from the music on your computer like iTunes Genius. Last but not Least, Zune revitalized the good old mini mode toolbar that was missed so much on WMP12 ;). .......... .......... Apps native to Windows is a no-brainer but I've added Zune Software to the list (since iTunes is on there). Indiana Horst
Why is native 64-bit Support a no-brainer? Sadly it's not self-evident for now! But i think it's not the right place for this discussion, so **** happens ;). Guest xiphi
Live Writer has Jump List support? I'm not seeing it, unless it's a "Recent" Jump List. Then, that would mean you could include a lot of other applications like Firefox, Dreamweaver CS4, etc. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/807138-apps-made-with-windows-7-in-mind/page/4/#findComment-591616054 Share on other sites

I was referring to Windows Live Apps and related apps bundled with Live Essentials (that's what I meant by native). They would be already be included in Windows if it weren't for the EU and other anti-trust organizations. Don't get me wrong, I like that the Zune 4.0 software has the mini mode, but I wish they would just integrate it into the Superbar like they did with the previous versions of WMP into the Taskbar. I just think that mini mode is somewhat still too large. Indiana Horst
@xiphi OMG, do you want to be a real wisenheimer at any cost? You know exactly what is a usefull, app-specific Jumplistsupport! So, if you want to surf only inside your local files, than have fun, but please define this not as a norm for other users :x . @Imran Hussain Sadly this isn't right at the moment. For Example, you can open so many files like you want, but no Jumplist will build, if you use Notepad++ . I was just proving a point, which you seem to have missed. You also must not be aware of applications that include readme's, etc in html. Try not to put your foot in your mouth next time. rakeshishere
Displaying Recently opened items for any program is not exactly the point of a Jumplist. Jump Lists don't just show shortcuts to files. Sometimes they also provide quick access to commands for things like composing new e-mail messages or playing music. You can assume it has partial support for Jumplist but still this doesn't deserve to be included in this thread Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/807138-apps-made-with-windows-7-in-mind/page/4/#findComment-591643046 Share on other sites

A good example is the new jumplist support from win7shell v0.92 . And here is a new App for the List: Astroburn Lite 1.1.0 Windows 7 taskbar features for burning progress.
