What's with that fin thing...

The fin serves 2 purposes, it improves the quality of airflow over the rear wing, and it also helps stabilise the car under yaw (in layman's terms, it reduces tha amount of sideways movement when the car is turning into and out of corners)

Also, gotta add I think the new Renault and Sauber cars look awful :/

Interesting that no photos where taken of McLaren's diffuser, I would like to see what all the fuss is about.

I had a suspicion that the Ferrari one may have been photoshopped :laugh:

Their diffuser doesn't look much different to that on the F60, but I understand the changes to the McLaren design a bit better now, the photo provided in another thread didn't really make the difference that clear. Thanks for the insight. The new Ferrari does seem pretty fast though, but I get the impression that McLaren have been doing long run simulation and haven't really been chasing lap times yet.

The long run pace of the car indeed looks good, I would like to see the long run comparisons with the Ferrari and Mercedes to see how it all compares
