Health care workers refuse to take H1N1 vaccine

What potential issue will take a couple of years to manifest? The mercury (thermisol) will be gone from your system in 18 days if you abstain from eating fish during that period.

We don't know.. vaccine is not really thoroughly tested. Besides Guillain-Barre syndrome.

"There could be unknown side effects. Something could happen. But we think that is highly unlikely," says infectious disease and vaccine expert Mark Mulligan, MD, executive director of the Hope Clinic of the Emory Vaccine Center in Atlanta.
If I remember science class correctly, mercury is poison and shouldn't be ingested. Kind of like how you don't eat wood chips or stick metal objects into electrical sockets lol.

There is mercury in food as well. Chances are you ingest mercury every day. If you eat fish, you get even higher doses of mercury. Lots of things that you are exposed to every day are "poison" and can kill you in sufficient quantities. Even water can kill you.

But the swine flu vaccine is not much different from the other flu vaccines that have been tested on a massive scale over several decades. The claims that we could suddenly start growing new limbs or turn purple isn't based in any fact.

Well to be honest with you I'm more concerned about getting a serious neurological issue which is a fact that this vaccine can cause no matter what chances. You can still get screwed up and I haven't heard about this with any other vaccine.

I think it should be a requirment for anyone working with many different who may have weak immune systems, i mean health care workers come into contact with many ppl, if they picked up the virus they could easily pass it on to sum1 who has a weak immune system and could then possibly die from it.

As for side effects tbh they are minimal, u probably take more mecury through food than through this one injection. And no you cant get the flu from the injection, or get any virus through vaccines, as it either contains the dead virus this can't replicate, or ite contains virus specific proteins or parts of the virus so in some cases it doesnt even contain the virus. And if u did happen to get the flu a day or 2 after the injection, the vaccine doesnt make u instantly immune, it takes 2-3days for u to show flu symptoms so u could have either picked it up before the injection or jsut after.

I personally wont have the injection as im healthy, have a good immune system, the flu strain isnt that deadly (its as bad as seasonal flu, nothing special, just the media blowin it out of proportion) and i dont work with ppl who may have a weak immune system

Uhm... The notice that it can in extremely rare cases trigger Guillain-Barre Syndrome (and most of the other side-effects listed) is based on this knowledge about other flu vaccines. It's not a claim that is based on the swine flu vaccine at all. It is just assumed that the risk is there, like it is with the other flu vaccines.

There are certain amounts of mercury that is considered to be safe. Certain cultures have eaten fish as part of their daily lives for generations. The tiny amount of mercury present in a vaccine is relatively comparable to eating one tuna steak.

Then you're just making stuff up. The swine flu vaccine is a minor tweak to the seasonal flu vaccine and that is the mostly widely tested vaccine that we have. Something that is a one in a million possibility isn't worth worrying about when considering that your risk from the swine flu itself is greater. Sure, you might think that the risks from swine flu are minor but they are greater than the risks from the vaccine and that is all that should matter.

Wheres the problem? Nature creatus virus's and infections science cures them .

This vaccine is for people with weak immune systems. Not for the general public

Thats a contradiction.

Key word being normal

Why would i need a flu vaccine im 23 and perfectly healthy

I am going to ask the general views of this thread a question. Have any of you ever had the flu before? Seriously because if you did you would not be against this vaccine at all. I work in a healthcare environment everyday as an IT administrator for a clinic. I see patients coming in with masks coughing so hard like they are about to cough a lung up. Sorry but there is no way I am going to be catching that **** that they have. Shoot me up with the vacinnes you got. For healthcare yes some companies do require the shots or you find another job but thats more so to cover their butts. Think about it if all the workers get sick who is going to take care of the patients, and the ones who are able to function while having the flu come to work and risk giving it to more patients making others sick. The thing is I would rather be safe than sorry because having the flu is one of the worst experiences a person can go thru. You all can spout that mombojombo about vacinne effectiveness but to me something is better than nothing.

The risk of complications for the h1n1 vaccine will be the same since it is basically the same vaccine.

Exactly! People seem to think this is some radically new and experimental vaccine when it's really just a plain old flu vaccine targeted at a certain strain of the virus, somewhat similar to how the seasonal flu vaccine changes every year.

It's the risk of the actual virus that is believed to be different this time, not the vaccine. People then extrapolate that the vaccine must therefore also be more dangerous.

I think the risk is low. I know several people who have taken the vaccine and none of them have had any complications whatsoever.

I know people who've had weakness and a sore arm for a few days.. but hey.. i'd rather that than be dead.

Might be a repost but didn't see.

Best Page in the Universe: I hope I get swine flu

and I agree with Maddox. My brother apparently got sick back in nov and docs said tests said it was swine flu. I was next to this kid taking care of him for a few days and he got better. Did I get sick? No. I have an immune system that works. And if you do get sick, deal with it. It's not going to kill you.

Don't take the vaccine. It's not worth it to you than it is for the companies that profit from making treatments than cures.

If you're a woman and you're worried about mercury content, get the one for pregnant women. Here in canada doctors are offering it because they are low on the regular vaccine at least in my area and they have WAY too much of the other. It still has mercury, but much less.

I have to take that back. One local girl got very sick from taking the vaccine and now can no longer walk.

    • Ocenaudio 3.19.5 by Razvan Serea Ocenaudio is a full featured, fast and easy to use audio and music editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. To assist ocenaudio development, a powerful toolset of audio editing, analysis and manipulation called Ocen Framework was created. ocenaudio is also based on Qt framework, a well known library for cross-platform development. Cross-platform support ocenaudio is available for all major operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Native applications are generated for each platform from a common source, in order to achieve excelent performance and seamless integration with the operating system. All versions of ocenaudio have a uniform set of features and the same graphical interface, so the skills you learn in one platform can be used in the others. VST plugins support Ocenaudio supports VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins, giving its users access to numerous effects. Like the native effects, VST effects can use real-time preview to aide configuration. Real-time preview of effects Applying effects such as EQ, gain and filtering is an important part of audio editing. However, it is very tricky to get the desired result by adjusting the controls configuration alone: you must listen the processed audio. To ease the configuration of audio effects, ocenaudio has a real time preview feature: you hear the processed signal while adjusting the controls. The effect configuration window also includes a miniature view of the selected audio signal. You can navigate on this miniature view in the same way as you do on the main interface, selecting parts that interest you and listening to the effect result in real time. Multiselection for delicate editions To speed up complex audio files editing, ocenaudio includes multi-selection. With this amazing tool, you can simultaneously select different portions of an audio file and listen, edit or even apply an effect to them. For example, if you want to normalize only the excerpts of an interview where the interviewee is talking, just select them and apply the effect. Eficient edition of large files With ocenaudio, there is no limit to the length or the quantity of the audio files you can edit. Using an advanced memory management system, the application keeps your files open without wasting any of your computer's memory. Even in files several hours long, common editing operations such as copy, cut or paste happen almost instantly. Fully featured spectrogram Besides offering an incredible waveform view of your audio files, ocenaudio has a powerful and complete spectrogram view. In this view, you can analyze the spectral content of your audio signal with maximum clarity. Advanced users will be surprised to find that the spectrogram settings are applied in real time. The display is updated immediately when altering features such as the number of frequency bands, window type and size and dynamic range of the display. Ocenaudio 3.19.5 changelog: Fixes crashes related to audio devices on Windows (DirectSound and ASIO) Fixes several crashes and memory corruption issues Fixes opening several headerless files at once, which previously dropped all but one Improves batch export by suggesting and remembering the destination folder Fixes accented and non-Latin characters in VST plug-in and compressed-archive file names Adds zstd compression support and updates the archive library Other bug fixes and improvements Download: Ocenaudio 64-bit | Portable | ~40.0 MB (Freeware) Download: Ocenaudio for Linux and Mac OS View: Ocenaudio Homepage | Screenshot Get alerted to all of our Software updates on Twitter at @NeowinSoftware
    • I did think about a Echo show once and it would be useful to see what my cameras see. But my brother got one and I changed my mind. Adverts and not really worth the price just to see my cameras. I have a load of dots and a Echo Gen 4, they will do.
    • I asking where you are from or live, because if you don't live in the U.K, why are you so bothered? That is another reason I voted out, E.U and people poking their noses in where they should not be. Sadly we still have it, Trump, and his cronies. Putin as well and no doubt others. It makes no difference what we believe, if we made the right choice or not, we are out. As I said to someone when the news first broke we have voted out, we just need to make the best of it. I have no problems with closer ties to the E.U, we still need to trade. Just don't want to be in their club.
    • So you think I voted out because i am anti-immigrant. I am fed up with those that come over and think that we owe them something. The ones that are at the moment coming over from France where they are already in a safe country because they think and no doubt will get everything chucked at them. While people who were born and bred here get very little. I have nothing against as i have said before those that come here and work. In fact I know full well that our NHS would struggle without them. I do have a problem with those that come over here and try to push their religion and their way of life onto us. My reasons for voting out was because of what the E.U is and is also becoming. I did not agree with Freedom of movement, not because I don't want people over here, but because people need to be checked before being allowed to cross borders and that goes both ways. But my main thing was because the E.U is becoming if not already a united states of Europe. The only reason countries like Poland and Romania joined was because they had no money. When my partner left Poland, she had nothing, Poland had nothing, that is why she left. Wanted to learn something and earn a living. The E.U would have us back according to Michel Barnier. https://www.euronews.com/my-eu...ator-barnier-tells-euronews Why are you so scared to say what country you are in?
    • I wonder what that line really meant...
