Here's another 25% off code for d2d: sizzle

I think this one only works in the US though, can be used for other games as well.

If you buy it from Direct2Drive and use the code "sizzle" you get 25% off, making it $37.46 ... and you still have to use Steam to download it so that would be the route to go. I am attempting it now to see if it works in Canada.

it does i just did it. and no tax for us :)

also i like that this game is only about 5.5gbs. only have so much room on my win7 partition on my macbook :)

Brink North America is now ready to Preload. Visit your My Account page to get your key and download. The release date has not changed. The game will unlock on May 10th, 2011.

At least you can order it, i just tried to buy it from D2D using paypal and they wanted me to put my phone number in so they could give me a pin to authorise the transaction, it wouldnt ring me now im locked out from buying it till i contact customer services. Im not jumping through hoops for it.

My housemate had huge issues ordering from D2D - wouldn't accept his CC, nor would it accept his PayPal. Strangely worked when he placed the order on my PC instead of his. I don't think I will be ordering from them again, I just wanted to grab this one discount.

the only way i get games from them is if they are steamwork games and i can get a nice pre-order discount for them

So after playing for a while, I've come to one conclusion: don't bother with this game if you're a single player gamer. The AI teammates suck.. They die a lot (which means you will die a lot), and they often get distracted by the enemies and apparently forget about whatever objective you're trying to accomplish. I got quite frustrated a number of times when we were supposed to be guarding a robot or planting an explosive charge or whatever, but not able to continue since my teammates weren't doing what they were supposed to be doing.

The game is definitely geared toward multiplayer co-op rather than solo play. I haven't played online yet (and can't until release), so I can't really judge that any further.

      I'm so conflicted with the Google Search AI summaries. On one hand I don't like how it's harming smaller websites by greatly reducing traffic which will harm us all in the long run but on the other hand those AI summaries often give me the information I'm after. I have never once clicked on 'show me more' though and never will.

      Not a single company as small or large it may be is obligated to subsidize its products and sell them at a loss. Your way of thinking is socialist and as a West German with a German brother state but impoverished by state dictatorship and a socialist command economy situated to the East i can tell you - this kind of thinking very quickly leads to products not being produced anymore at all. EDIT: That does not mean that I find state support for social needs unreasonable. Quite the contrary. Together with solid workers' rights we exactly had exactly that in Germany for decades in the form of the Sozialstaat which was as the scandinavian social democratic very successful - until the number of people who drew from those resources dramatically increased (ironically a project of social democrat and green proponents).
