Halo Reach Thread

I haven't really been up to date on Halo: Reach but so far it looks like you can pick classes (to balance the game I assume) and you're still able to pick up any weapon right?

Right, but you can choose a loadout at the beginning of the match. These are sets of primary/secondary weapon plus grenades and armour aility that are chosen by Bungie. In Invasion your loadouts change providing you with bigger better weaponry as the game goes on. Vehicles also update in Invasion to unlock better stuff later on.

Interesting...well Halo: Reach will be my next game then  . ANyone want to be my friend? :p GT: LiteralShip need more friends that plays Halo

You will never be THIS good at Halo: Reach

He knows exactly what weapons to use. He knows exactly what class to choose. He knows when to toss a grenade, where to take cover and how to pull off every headshot. The Halo: Reach multiplayer beta doesn't even begin for another week, and this guy is already light years ahead of you.

Why? Because his name is Luke Smith, he's a designer at Bungie and he helped create those weapons, classes and maps. Plus, he's had a lot of practice. Fortunately for the rest of us, this multiplayer master agreed to share his strategies with GamesRadar during a recorded match last week.

letdown? :/

Nah they released a looooooooad of gameplay footage in prep for the beta, throw in some theatrical trailers for the crack, turn up the heat on the epic stove.

Should be some class trailers for the actual narrative game release rather than just the crazy matchmaking side :)

FnF codes came out today along with other companies giving out free codes.. Want.in.early.NOW. :C

it's just a few days early.. lol.. thinking about it.. the real game does not even have a release date yet.

A few days early means a few more days extra of playing. It's only available until 5/17 so if I can squeeze in more play time, then I'm happy. Game is set for Fall 2010, so what's your point?

From what I've read everywhere access will be by the ODST disc and not by any other means unless you happen to get a hold of a code from people/companies giving 'em away. Otherwise there are no restrictions to this eg: invite only. ODST disc means you're in.

    • So, recently, I saw on the news (yes, on this website) that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended. • And he paid Joe Rogan $30M for podcasts. Terrible company.
    • I sure hope the AI does not give out wrong info during education
