Am I the only person that installs every game I play?

And I actually rent a lot of games, but all I do is delete the install once I send it back. I literally install every game.

So although I am not a hardcore Halo fan, I always have enjoyed the series, so I did break down and preorder it on Amazon, as they had the deal they usually do with big releases were you get $20 in credit for the video games department which I will just put towards Black Ops so I get that for $40, and then BO actually comes with the $20 video game credit as well, so a pretty good deal as I will get $40 in credit for 2 games. I also have Amazon Prime so I will get release day delivery for free.

Only thing is I probably will not realistically get to even touch it until early next month, I leave for Span for work this upcoming Thursday, will be gone for 8 days, then also just have to work a whole lot of OT at work, so really will not have much time to touch the game until early next month. So the one aspect I was looking forward to, the 4 player CoOp, unfortunately I may not get to experience because by the time I get to play it, I am sure everyone will be bored of it already on just playing MP.

I'll always be up for the 4 player Co-Op bro.. and no you are not the only one who installs every game you play.. I do that too.. and I think you meant 'Spain' and not 'Span'

I'm on the same boat as you except I don't go to "span". But I try to make up hoever I can, also the reason I don't play mp cause I can't pause it for like half hour to finish work and get back into the game. Sooo SP is best choice for guys like us. :(

Cool, that definitely sounds good and I without a doubt am going to take you up on that offer of the CoOp. (Y)

* And maybe if he is around and would like to, Neo003 can join us since he is in the same boat as me.

And okay cool, I figured I could not be the only one that installs every game, even when I had my my smaller 60GB drive, I just install everything while I play it then more than likely delete it unless it was a game I thought I would come back to. It just makes the most sense to me all around. Less use on the drive and shorter load times = always install the game no doubt.

And indeed, * I did mean Spain. I actually had a lot of typo's in my post, that is what I get for posting from my phone. :pinch:

I won't be able to play for around a month either (Uni stuff), but if you guys are around I wouldn't mind joining up for the co-op.

Sounds good to me. (Y) So cool, looks like I will not miss out on the CoOp like I thought. Sweet. (Y)

Alright I'm game, I'm avail anytime after 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Send me PM whenever you guys are upfor it. (Y)

Okay cool, will be sometime in early October give or take.

PM me your Gamertag, as I am not sure if you are on my friends list or not.

That's actually pretty darn good. I can't say that I install every game I play, but that's mainly because I've only had my 250 GB hard drive for a couple of months now, and I'm not accustomed to having all of this excess space. My policy has been to install games that I know I'm going to play a lot. So Forza 3 got an install, as will this (considering these numbers, there's no way I could pass up doing the install).

Hey guys Best Buy is having a midnight release, but it says it only has "Guaranteed 20 Limited and 20 Legendary Editions at all other Best Buy Stores" so pretty much all the other non-midnight release stores.. does that mean that there is 20 extra copies ontop of the pre-ordered ones?

The way I'm reading there guaranteed to have a minimum of 20 of each at each store. So it could be they do have extra editions or they only have 20 of each in the first wave of games to give out.

    • According to Microsoft, Cause: One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.   https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/error-codes-in-device-manager-in-windows-524e9e89-4dee-8883-0afa-6bca0456324e
    • This looks awesome, I will request access via Steam later this afternoon!
    • Personally, I’ve found that it’s usually worth investing in the infrastructure you don’t want to replace later, especially cabling. Running Cat6A (or better, depending on your needs) during an upgrade is relatively inexpensive compared to having to re-cable a few years down the road. For switches I try to balance current specs with realistic growth. If my budget allows it Ill choose switches with higher uplink speeds which leaves room for expanding later on, but I don’t necessarily overspend on access ports if the endpoints won’t benefit from them anytime soon. One lesson I’ve learned is that planning for scalability pays off. It’s much easier to add devices, VLANs, or higher-bandwidth workloads when your network infrastructure already supports it than to replace hardware later.  What is your budget like?
    • I hate the term, "future-proof." We saw it back in the 90's / 2000's, if not before. You cannot future-proof anything, since there is no definition of how far into the future you plan on prepping for. Best idea is to tell us what you currently have and what its use is at the moment, and we can then offer ideas about some areas that might need an upgrade and other areas that can be left alone.
    • I can agree that it is being used in a small capacity. I worked for a company where their engineers still used XP, and when asked why it was because their sensor software wasn't compatible with newer operating systems and the software was discontinued so they couldn't upgrade the software. Given that the sensors were still in use by companies, they had to continue using XP to support the sensor, otherwise the price to the company would have gone into the millions or billions. Our response was simple: Ok, you can keep the XP machine. But we're removing it from the network. "But then it can't access the Internet or folder shares!" Yup, kinda the point. If someone wants to continue using an unsecure OS they can do, I have no problem with that. But it should be isolated. Simple. I had a fight with a guy in the engineering department for weeks before he finally relented. But we digress.   What do I plan on doing to commemorate the anniversary? Nothing. I have fond memories of the OS, but at the end of the day it's just an OS. If I had some time I might see if I could install it on my Raspberry Pi for a laugh. But my reflex memory with today's OS ideas would probably get me frustrated and I'd uninstall it after 5 mins.
