The 3648x2736 images in the gtplanet thread (see OP) are perfectly readable

Ah thanks bud, never clicked the link, away for a read :)

edit: What is IRL cars? Apparently it's an exclusive reveal to PTOM?

For the first time ever in the series, both NASCAR and -as exclusively revealed to PTOM- Indy (IRL) cars and tracks will be included in Gran Turismo 5.

We already know WRC is in as well.

IRL is the Indy Race League, so open wheeled cars similar to F1 but faster :)

Ah sweet still not sure what it is, but god damn more content

*Looks at all those saying PD were sitting doing nothing for 5 years*

When you give me that boost, then puuuuurhaps >.>

Hour or two k? Got some calls to make. Boost(s) shouldn't take too long, I know you're after a specific wand or something.

Yeah that's alright - I kinda expected it to be within that time-range and you must know me, I like wands ... Long, hard and they shoot stuff, mmmmm.

Oh and it's definitely a 2 runs minimum

In fact I'll be on in like 15 (if you can make that), I don't think this marathon GF call is going to happen for a while and it's best to make a move now before I get trapped by Entangling Roots that last 3 hours.

burnout paradise already does this :)
Really now?

I might have to rent that.

No it doesn't, at least not to the extent you seemed to be wishing. Burnout does have a day/night cycle but it isn't in tandem with real world time and is vastly sped up.

You can choose in Burnout. It's in the options, you might not have seen it. You can choose Static time (Day, Night), 24 minute for 24h, 48 minutes for 24h or real time (i.e current time).

I stand corrected then, awesome feature that I never knew existed, will check out next time I load it up :)

Learn something new every day.

This looks awesome.

Does this mean the game is in 1080p full HD, or is it going to be 720p ?

Gran Turismo 5 Prologues actual resolution is 1280x1080, so it involved a bit of scaling vertically. The most important part of the resolution is horzitonal though.

GT5 is likely to run at the same, considering them game itself is going to contain much more than GT5P, but to answer your question it is "1080p"/60FPS, although until the pixel counters do their job we won't know for sure.

i think you mean scaling horizontally, not vertically. 1080 is the vertical dimension.

regardless, this is looking legendary... just need a confirmed Uk release date and i can make space in my hectic summer (hopefully) calendar :D .

I want a PlayStation 3 for this game :/

it's why i bought mine...

CAN"T WAIT!!! but why do sites all over the internet still say this game is coming out in march? Is sony trying to make us all poor with GoW, FF and this coming in the same month?

If this comes out good then it may just sway me into buying a PS3 :D

This game is everything we could have dreamed of and more.

It's funny to think that I bought my PS3 on release for this game and its finally coming out now... :$

It seems that the wait will have been worth it! :D

    • Sorry I mean your back rest on your Herman, can you move the back say 2cm then lock it? Then realise 2cm isn’t enough and you want an extra 1cm then lock it into that position? Basically like in an older car seat, you turn the knob round until you get the back recline precisely where you want it, this is what I found the Herman wouldn’t do
    • WTF? I am not taking a video of myself to access a site or to create an account. What are they thinking? I don’t even have a webcam on my main desktop PC. The powers to be are really looking to normalize the taking of pics or submitting ID for everything. I afraid most people will end up just going along with it.
