Apparently, it's in the upcoming mission DLC (Lair of the Shadow Broker). You can see the new weapons in the screenshots here. I didn't notice it before but the assault rifle and pistol looks new.

I just want a new heavy weapon.

I just started this at midnight on monday, I bought it the same day Red Dead came out but didn't have a final save on Mass Effect that I liked so had been going through that slowly since and getting what I want done.

But over the last three days I've spent about 19 hours playing it, oh man its so good, I shouldn't have taken so long to get through ME1 to get to this.

I do wish the achievements were somewhat more in the vein of the first one, but I'm happy I don't have to go through the game with each character now, that took ages on the first one, lol.

You've changed man, you've changedddd! I have no one to talk to at 3am because of this stupid game now :(

Just finished this. Amazing game. Around 20+ hours clocked with some side-missions and all loyalty missions completed. Mordin perished, checked online and realised my mistake. Poor guy.

Only finished the original about a week ago. I want ME 3 NOW! Also kept loyal to Ashley, tried to romance Miranda (with a bit of Kelly), didn't work out to well.

Also am I the only one in thinking the keepers in the citadel may play a big part in ME3?

While the developers have said very few things are "canon" in the ME universe I'm starting to think that the romance with Tali is one of them:

It's the only character that members of your crew acknowledge that likes you.

It's the only character that mentions you in private logs and recordings, saying she's missing you.

At least it seems that the team at Bioware would like Tali the most as your romance option.

Yet they won't show us her face!!!!! RAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I felt so cheated with her romance scene compared to say, Mirandas. :p

Check out the new trailer for "Lair Of The Shadow Broker" DLC coming out September 7. Looks like it will have a new feature, I won't spoil it here, see it:

I don't know, I hope not. Didn't the developers say they would bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3 with DLC?

I remember something like that as well, just don't know how much DLC that means we can expect. I'll take as much as they can make though.

Nice, thanks for the link. Finally, a paid DLC release for Mass Effect 2 that's worth purchasing. I didn't bother with the Kasumi DLC, but I'll definitely be getting this.

Considering it costs an additional 240 MS/BioWare points over the standard mission DLC cost (560), it better be worth it.

i have being playing this game for a week, and i have to admit it is one of the most interesting games ever!!!

the sheer scale of the universe and alien races, the story, dialog options, and the first person shooter mechanic + amazing graphics = one of the best games i ever played.

this is the RPG i always wanted. (and i dont play rpgs normally - only exceptions were Arcanum - kept me going 2 month when i had nothing else to do, and Neverwinter nights... but they fade in comparison)

they keep on mentioning ME3??? is it coming soon. Also, should i play mass effect 1, when I am done with 2?

ME3 at best will probably be 2011/12, especially with a PS3 port of ME2 next year, and Dragon Age 2.

We know its coming, they have mentioned it in interviews but we don't have an official release yet about it.

And I would have suggested playing Mass Effect 1 before Mass effect 2, but if you feel so included you could give it a go, say being an evil person rather than good, then use that save in Mass Effect 2 on an evil run.

Though you might be annoyed at some of the things they changed going from the first to ME2 due to annoyance.

damn right i am. after the ME2, ME1 seem so unrefined, the controls, and the upgrades... everything seems harder and less obvious.

anyway, i am playing through as the renegate sentinel.. instead of the mostly paragon sentinel i had in ME2

i was certainly planning to select a different class in ME2. and somehow i ended up as sentinel (female instead of male i used in me2)

i cannot be bothered to restart, so i guess i'll never experience anything other then sentinel. strange that i am so drawn to that class.

but the cutscenes and gameplay is soo long, i am not starting over again.

i'll mostly try to keep it renegate, mostly
