[Official] Mass Effect 2

Oh that's not the case, I appreciate it as a good game nothing wrong there. But where is it so different to the MGS series in that it is a great story telling game. Yet people bang on as if it's a big snoozefest of a film. This so far seems no difference in game/story balance.

Dont worry about those. They too are missing something, their brain.

Believe me, you'll be impressed by the end of the game.

somehow i never noticed him in the game, or i just forgot about him.

Thanks for the linkie though!

I didn't even know he was in Mass Effect 2. He was noticeable in Mass Effect 1 if you received his transmissions. Basically, he'd send you an audio-only message with mission details. You had the choice of accepting or declining, if I remember correctly.

Wow! I hope it's as long as Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Unfortunately not. It's not bad, a nice tie-in to ME3 I suppose, but (at least for me) was pretty underwhelming compared to Shadow Broker. Not very long, no big surprises and was fairly predictable. Definitely can't wait for ME3 though..

thanks for the heads up Viper, i went and got it for the 360. i enjoyed all of the downloadable content for ME2, i don't think this one will be an exception. it will be nice to have ME3 conclude the current story arc...mostly because it will mean ME4 will be on the next round of consoles

Anyone got any good tips to get my paragon up? As you see I only need a lil bit, but its hard and I lost Jack off the argument and trying to get her back before I go rescue the crew.

Has anyone played The Arrival? It's pretty good.

I was surprised that I could still play after "dying". It was right after the part where the doctor betrays you. When you wake up slowly, you see her with blurred vision. You also see her eyes glowing, similar to the way the Collectors eyes glow. I thought it was an interesting change to the standard "Resume/Load/Exit" you get after dying.

Thanks and yeah I played it

I was trying to survive, I lasted about 4 minutes before I died using rocket launcher and my skills. Yeah it is part of the DLC though, I doubt anyone can survive because more and more come. haha yeah her eyes were crazy!

That is suppose to happen, it's part of the story to

move you forward in time to move you closer to the deadline. :p

I survived all the

rounds with enemies for the achievement and they knock you out at the end either way with the reaper artifact.

So you can survive it? I was doing it for about four minutes and then all of sudden I got raped lmao..

Yea,

it got pretty bad near the end, and this was on easy.

I pulled through after many uses of unity though, eventually the bar at the bottom fills up and lets out a pulse which knocks you unconscious, then I would assume you wake up the same way you do if you get killed.

I was on the hard difficulty lol

I survived it ...on Insanity, with my Infiltrator.

Everyone, including the YMR-Mech ignore you while 'cloaked' ..so I just found a spot in a corner, kept cloaking and letting rip with the Widow sniper rifle and (once the widow's clips ran out) the Locust SMG :D

..On playthroughs with other classes though I didn't even last the first wave :(

    • You're absolutely right! No reason in hell these should be on the road!
    • They aren't going to want to. Most would just go with the 17 Pro and save money. Why would they want to spend $300 for basically the same thing? It's not worth it if there are hardly any changes from year to year.
    • 24H2 rolled out to the Release Preview Channel in early June 2024, so this coming a bit later in the Experimental Channel (formerly Dev) doesn't really say much more than earlier H2 releases that came out in October. I am not sure what the thinking is here by putting it in Experimental, one would think that the 26H2 stamp means features are locked down and it's now bug tested until October? I don't even pretend to understand Microsoft's strategy for Windows Insider Program though
