goji
Just signed up for a Tier 2 account in honor of all the hard work you all are putting in on this! I will as well before the week is out! Gustapo
Why doesn't Neowin just copy the database and install it on the development forum to see if it can handle the load? That seems like that would be a much better option than to keep taking the forums offline and then back online again.
Simon Veteran Posted January 20, 2010 Veteran Share Posted January 20, 2010 Why doesn't Neowin just copy the database and install it on the development forum to see if it can handle the load? That seems like that would be a much better option than to keep taking the forums offline and then back online again. We actually had the forums on a development server, loading through an iFrame every time someone loaded a forum page, for a little while. The load stayed quite low.
