Those videos have reassured me that MW2 does indeed have at least more texture details. Although the BC2 video only showed demo and beta footage.

Meh guess I need to get my eyes checked cause BC2 looks better to me. Besides, didn't DICE say high textures were not available in the beta and demo?

Reading through this thread has actually psyched me up big time. I enjoyed the beta, but I got sick of playing in that snow level. Can't wait to get some urban warfare going. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a Steam pre-load.

BC2 and SupCom 2 on the same day. Big week for the PC for sure :).

I pressume if you can prove you have a legit copy of the game before Tues it's alright to talk about the game?

In the UK especially, we receive our pre-orders from e-tailers before launch due to their commitments to deliver "on release date". They usually over shoot and games arrive early. So for instance many people who ordered from Shopto will receive their copies tomorrow morning.

LMAO is it sad I hit my forehead with my hand IRL after reading his post..

Come on, where exactly is it so much better? I am not trying to "hate" on BC2, because it really is alot better than MW2. But from a visual aspect, negating any art style preference, I think it's pretty clear MW2 has a slight edge.

As far as I know the console version won't be improved much visually.

Someone has to agree with me... I can't be going senile already!!!

Funny, on my 7 years on here as a member and then a mod although I have heard of this happening, it definitely has not been on a "usually" basis by any means.

Tomorrow, you sure? EU Launch date is Thursday, not Tuesday. Never seen shops send games out that early.

And yes, if you can prove it, I guess it's alright but let's face it - Whoever has it now is sure to have pirated it.

Just no talk about the SP until Tuesday, it's official release date. Then I do not care where you live, etc.

If I see an article on a major gaming website saying someone messed up and somehow people in the EU are getting it 3 days earlier, than okay we will let it go.

Wow people that comment on the IGN review are MAD!

To be honest though, the reviews for Bad Company 2 and MW2 are very comprable. I understand they are done by 2 different reviewers, but the benchmarks for which this game got rated lower than MW2 seem pretty unfair.

If we can't discuss the game why don't you just go ahead and lock it till Tuesday?

Because that would prevent people from discussing other things such as the PC beta or X360/PS3 demo (and more). The intricacies of the SP campaign isn't the only topic of discussion here.

I mean seriously, How long have you been a member here? How long has it always been the same with this rule?

I would expect this type of talk from someone who may be a new member or who has not actively participated in the thread since Day 1.

I am literally dumbfounded right now. Close the thread? Because as already pointed out the previous 74 pages did not need to exist at all?

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • What I like about Paint is using it almost exclusively for cropping and resizing images I get elsewhere--it's quick, easy and cheap... I keep it glued to my taskbar, in fact.
    • I still remember it fondly today. It was so cool to work in 64-color Half Bright mode and 4.096-color HAM mode (interlaced) when x86 was still in 4-color CGA or 16-color EGA low res. C= never realized what it had until it was far too late--the failure of C= was the failure of its top management. The C= Amiga was 20 years ahead of its time, I always thought. It didn't hurt that in only 512k of chip memory, the Amiga could preemptively multitask when Apple was still doing gray scale graphics on tiny screens and along with everyone else was doing cooperative multitasking (running more than one app at a time in resident memory, but you could only run one of them at a time--had to manually switch between them.) I had a ball with AREXX scripting running between programs that had AREXX ports so that when you sent other applications data and instructions, those running applications could process the same in real time to output! Memories...
    • I'm not sure about that, but it at least "does" a version of 7.1 that this brand new card doesn't....

    • I can barely recall getting web results from a file search... I must've turned it off long ago. 26H2 is Insider's Preview build 26300.8697, which I am running, atm. It is not available for people running the standard commercial builds of Windows--only for the beta test Insider's group. But anyway, as mentioned in the thread, this feature has been around for a long time...
