I am literally dumbfounded right now. Close the thread? Because as already pointed out the previous 74 pages did not need to exist at all?

I never made mention of any piracy and my post got deleted. If we're getting our post cut and screenshots taken from places like GAF pulled it doesn't leave much to discuss.

On topic:

Well, yea I am play in SD. But I havn't seen video or screenshots that make me think it blows MW2 away, graphically.

I think there will be some minor improvements with the console version, but I don't think there will be higher textures.

And err, no I don't have an advanced copy. Only played the demo. probably won't have time to play the full thing until the 11th.

I wasn't implying anyone here was using an "advanced copy", I was saying that the reviewer probably was from IGN. That's what I intended to mean anyways.

Guess I was kind of late to the party though.

I'm sitting here, giggling like a school girl in anticipation for release.

Man, no kidding. I have one more 12 hour shift tomorrow night and a bunch of stuff to do on Tuesday...so I'm really looking forward to Tuesday night and a few days off work to get some gaming in. Fortunately, my 11-month old loves to watch and the wife will be working :D

At least you get it Tuesday, I have to wait for Thursday to arrive :(

Sucks to be in the EU, we can twiddle thumbs until thursday ;)

Can we get a page going listing soldier names so we can have a few games at some point?

Soldier name is Jelli if anyone fancies a game at some point later in the week when I get the game.

I thought it was Friday for us Europeans?

<Snipped>

I'll try and update the thread when I get home with a Soldier Name / Members Name listing.

Throw the names in to an excell spreadsheet and I'll host it on dropbox. Saves the 1st page being a wall of text. Live users can simply create an account called "NeowinBFBC2" and add it to friends then view it's friends list to find everyone else.

Funny, on my 7 years on here as a member and then a mod although I have heard of this happening, it definitely has not been on a "usually" basis by any means.

No word of a lie to you man, 9 times out of 10, my pre-orders arrive early.

Hence why I have this section of the 360 deals topic...

Postage tips:

If you want your games early my advice would be to buy from ShopTo primarily. They offer next day delivery (recorded) for free on all of their orders. They will send them if the order is made before 5:30pm or the next day if it's after 5:30pm. They also have a txt service available which allows you to order when away from the computer.

Game are also very good at sending games out before they hit the street dates. The "latest" I've ever had my games delivered from them was on the day of release.

Gameplay (owned by Game) are also pretty good for this, however you are far more likely to recieve on day of release. You can get away with 2nd class postage (free) and get your game on time from both Game & Gameplay.

So I clearly didn't make up this excuse to fool you or the other mods into thinking I received a copy early, as I wrote this topic years ago.

@Sethos, my bad, I thought it was out 2nd March in the EU too.Anyone who bought from Shopto will likely receive it Weds or Thursday then.

Did everyone forget about this? :/

All comments about the leaked version will be deleted and you also run the risk of being warned. Please do not discuss the game. Keep it to yourself until Tuesday.

No Illegal Software/Copyrighted Discussion.

Discussions involving warez, cracks, security circumvention, using torrents for downloading copyrighted or illegal material is strictly prohibited. This includes music files or other unauthorized software. Asking for help in doing so will cause warns or suspensions of accounts.

The following punishments may be applied to your account following infractions:

  • Posting a link to pirated software/film/tv/music. = SNIP POST + WARNING LEVEL RAISE
  • Suggesting (overtly endorsing) that somebody pirate material. = SNIP POST + WARNING LEVEL RAISE
  • Requesting assistance in pirating material. = SNIP POST + WARNING LEVEL RAISE
  • Posting screenshots that show obviously pirated material (e.g. someone's uTorrent download screen) = SNIP POST + PM and/or ZERO LEVEL WARN
  • Openly discussing pirated material (e.g. z0mg - new episode of Lost was amazing!! BitTorrent FTW!) = SNIP POST + PM and/or ZERO LEVEL WARN

Repeat offenders of the above examples will eventually be restricted from posting all together.

Please make note of the bolded part. I am about to delete your posts, and if you keep discussing it, you will be warned. Really is that simple.

No discussion about the leaked version will be tolerated.

Please especially see the last bullet. If you discuss the Single Player before the release date on Tuesday, you are openly discussing pirated material. So considering this your warning.

I am well aware that a few known groups in the "scene" have released the game early for both PC and 360.

So do not try and say you somehow got an advanced copy, etc., as quite simply, we know it is BS.

Do we have a time frame for when it unlocks on steam?

You guys can hand out warnings willy nilly for all I care. If my copy arrives early I'm talking about it, end of. Of course I'll use spoiler tags so not to ruin it for everyone else, but I'm not even interested in SP. Mp ftw

As per DirtyLarry's warning, if you talk about it before Tuesday.. you will be warned.

Because apparently we aren't "setting an example", when it's the mods who are in the wrong here. You & I and many other members of this board know full well we go out of our way sometimes to get games early, so we are doing nothing wrong here this time than we have the past 5 years of this generation!

Oh, I don't deny we do get games early and sometimes we do our best to get it as early as possible but on another level, I think it's a fair gentleman's agreement that we don't discuss the game until most people are starting to receive it. It's not even within the plausible date yet.

Tomorrow we are allowed to discuss it, American copies of the game are surely being sent out today as retailers rarely ship off Friday as they aren't allowed by the publisher to ship that early. So most will be receiving it tomorrow. EU copies will at the EARLIEST be sent out today and arrive tomorrow, again, coincide with the fact we are allowed to discuss it tomorrow.

Yes, some may receive it very early but it won't kill you to just play the game and don't discuss it until tomorrow :)

See it as a gentleman's agreement, a very fair one at that.

I don't believe in this rule either (since you very well can get your copy in advance even if you just work at a store that has got the shipment already), but we all need to just settle down and ride the rule wave. It's probably their quarterly review time and they're being very heavy handed (since they seem to be doing a lot of random topic closing and thread cleaning). This seems to happen with them every few months. Just need to ride the wave and calm down.

Rules are there to be followed, even if you disagree with them. Sure, you can get an early copy but this is the Internet. Trust isn't distributed by the truckload. For all we know you could be playing a pirated version and pretending that you got an early copy. As for the rest of your post, totally unnecessary. (N)

I edited my post because what I said was out of hand. Anyway, it's not a matter of being in the wrong here. We're simply aware of certain release groups that have leaked the game before the official North American release date. As such, we aren't allowing discussion of the game until Tuesday March 2nd. How hard is it to hold out until then?

    • Poll: Grand Theft Auto VI price predictions, cast your vote by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe After years of waiting, Rockstar will be solidifying the launch date of Grand Theft Auto VI with the launch of pre-orders next week. While the studio has confirmed a date for this occasion, it is yet to attach a price to the highly anticipated game. So let's see what our readers think it will cost at launch. The Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will kick off on June 25 for digital and physical editions. Unless some last-minute changes happen, the release date will be November 19, 2026, across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, there's still no information about a PC version from the developer or the publisher Take-Two. Now the question becomes, how much will Grand Theft Auto VI cost at launch? The game is predicted by some analysts to be the biggest launch of an entertainment product ever. With the amount of hype that has been built behind it and with ballooning development costs, Take-Two may price this Grand Theft Auto entry differently from other AAA titles. The current price of a AAA game is $69.99. That norm almost rose to $79.99 before calming down. But with such a massive release, Grand Theft Auto VI may be the game that pushes the boundary again. It's also possible that Take-Two keeps the price relatively low to increase the number of players that jump in early and keep them hooked on Grand Theft Auto Online to spend on microtransactions for years to come. Keep in mind that the below poll is asking for a prediction of the standard edition price, not a deluxe or any other special edition that Take-Two will introduce for additional benefits. Also, there is the chance of the company splitting up the campaign and online portions. If you think that will happen, put your vote on what you think will be the total cost of the two. Poll Poll: How much will Grand Theft Auto VI cost? $59.99 $69.99 $79.99 $89.99 $100 or more Submit Vote If you have a very specific prediction in mind, sound off in the comments below.
