Spookie, in an excel document it'll just prompt for a download each time you want to view it ... that's a pain. ( Soldier names )

Crock-o-**** MS software. :(

Err .txt file then? Or a database were we can put our own names in if anyone has the time to crack one out? :D

even if you were to get it early (atleast pc version) you can't play it til 10am pacific on march 2nd

I followed up on what Joker said, he's correct. You can play it early, this version of Securom includes a always have the disc in the drive option.

Naturally so.. I am pretty sure these rules exist because the site can be sued and actually lose to game publisher because of discussions of a product that is not officially out yet. Whether or not it will happen it's another thing but as soon as the site is of higher profile like Neowin, the rule is there to prevent any possibility of legal issues arising.

If that were the case neoGAF would have been closed years ago. But instead you've got devs from the studios actively getting involved in the discussions. But anyway see my post below.

I myself have discussed when a street date has been broken, if it happens it happens, but it has not happened yet for either of you has it??? Just people on other forums right???? Again I do not care about other forums.

So this is what I do not get. You are arguing about something neither of you can provide right now... a legit street broken copy. Not only that, you are arguing about it less than 12 hours before you are officially allowed to talk about the game????

As I said, I don't see why we can't talk about screenshots and infomation which is plastered all over "OFFICIAL EA FANSITE"s, reposted by their own developers or in threads they posted in. I believe it is just overly conservative moderation and some fairly vague unhelpful rules.

But whatever- I've said my piece. I'm not looking or a fight. DL you've played with me before and know me to be reasonable. So lets end it here. We disagree and I'm not looking to earn my first ever warning!

I don't usually ask these types of questions but anyone who played the PC beta, how was the performance?

Do you think my Core2Duo 2.6Ghz, 2GB ram and 8800GTX would be able to handle it ok without having to lower the details too much? I will only use it for online play too, if that will make a difference.

I really don't fancy buying the game and finding out it runs poorly.

You'll need more RAM and a better video card (GeForce GTX 260 or above) for it to perform well at medium/medium-high settings. I have a Core2Duo E6750 @ 3.2 GHz, 8GB DDR2 RAM, and an HD 4870. I got about 30-40 FPS on medium settings (effects on high) with the PC beta.

But neither of you have the game do you??? Like in your hands a LEGIT copy right now???? If you did maybe we could talk, but you do not have the game in your hand right now do you???

Just give it a rest already. Please.

As soloredd just pointed out, by leaving things the way they are, it creates a level playing field for all members involved. If you guys notice, only about 3-5 of you are making a fuss about this no talk early thing, the rest either do not agree with it or just accept it and move on. Because it is what it is.

Larry I don't want to fall out with you over this, but you've never kicked up a fuss about this ever before and I've talked about lots of games before release which I bought legit. If my copy turns up before release, rest assured I will be talking about it (even if websites aren't covering a street date leak) and if I have to I will post a copy of the retail box, disc & receipt. Absolutely ridiculous refusing members to do something which we've been doing for years on end. Something even you do when you managed to get copies from Gamefly early by manipulating your order list.

Even more so, if any of the mods here even understood pirating on 360 then they'd realise there isn't even a PAL copy of BFBC2 leaked, so how the hell could any of us UK/EU guys be playing it?!

Just to put a final nail in this coffin, here's my outstanding order on Amazon to prove I am actually buying the damn game.

You posting your order proves this whole argument is a waste, the US version is released tomorrow. So based on your screen shot you have a 0% chance of getting the game before people are allowed to discuss it. Worry about it next time when you actually get the game early, no need to go back and fourth with the mods over a "what if" scenario.

It might as well be sorted once & for all and then we don't have to keep going over it every time a new game comes out.

I'm all for Neowin cracking down on the amount of piracy talk & finally trying to sort the whole issue out. But right now they are enforcing rules on innocent members which is no better than the DRM on most games these days that only make a nuisance for legit buyers.

It doesn't matter if US gamers get their copies tomorrow, because then the mods are basically going back on everything they are enforcing today. If the game isn't out until Friday in EU, why can I only talk about it tomorrow not today? Just because Americans have their copies? What the hell does that matter. I could have pirated the game by tomorrow & the whole argument goes out the window.

Or are we now going to demand we know each member's location & start approving who can & can't talk about games until their region has released the game.

Frickin' joke.

Apparently there is improvements in the retail game plus a day 1 patch with more improvements which were made after the gold master was shipped. I'd wait till tomorrow to see what people say if you can wait.

Ok, i will wait and see. I'm in no real rush for the game.

and andy seriously? you are crying cause you can't talk about the game yet when it's not even released yet and you don't have it yet? which would only mean one thing. I don't get why you are busting Larry's balls over this when you've been here forever and clearly know the rules.

Forget it, I wrote out a reply to you Rajput, but I really don't give a damn any more. I'm talking about the game (and all others) from here on whether the mods like it or not.

I haven't pirated the game & don't plan to. If Larry can't take my word for that then it really shocks me & our friendship since I haven't lied to the guy once before in my life.

So performance might be down to drivers between ATI/Nvidia?

I wish my PC was as good as it was when i built it. I never had to worry about specs then

I'm on a Q9400, 4GB DDR2 RAM and GTX275 and the game ran around 40-50 frames on average in the beta. Crossing my fingers for better performance too. :)

I have a job interview to go to, so I will maybe comment later but honestly it is like talking to the wall at this point so I may not even bother.

But what you fail to understand is I am not making an exception for anyone, friend or not, as it is not a matter of if you are lying or not. I really do not understand what is so hard to realize about that.

When it is widely known a game has broken release date, we allow discussion. Always have, always will. Right now all I know is RELOADED and CCLX have released it. Really is that simple.

But seriously man whatever. Keep on this crusade, do whatever you need to do. I will do the same.

Ok so now that all that crap is over, can't wait for tomorrow. What was the official time for servers to start coming up? 10am PST?

BTW rajput thanks for posting your config, I might have to try it out.

Currently I have a E6750 and 4gigs of Ram with a 9800 GT. It runs a little sluggish on my end. Actually in the beta I had to drop down to DX9 to get it to run decent.

Neither of which I can play (Y)

(Y) I look forward to the warnings then.

So, can I discuss about this game tomorrow or I got to wait until Friday?

Either way, I am looking forward to playing this game, didn't play much of the demo for some reason though.

Looking forward to seeing more of that, BF:BC had some iffy explosions imo but BF:BC2 looks sorted. :)

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Cyberpunk 2077, Split Fiction, Sonic Racing, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games store brought along two games from wildly different genres this week for PC gamers to claim. Robobeat is a rhythm-based action game that lets you become a bounty hunter that can wall run, slide, and bunny hop around his opponents. All you have to do is stick to the beat for the built-in or custom songs. Next, Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG adventure taking place in a ruined space station. It uses tabletop RPG-inspired elements like dice rolls and timers to change up how players approach its activities, factions, and storylines. The Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat giveaways end on June 25. On the same day, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Voidwrought will become the next freebies. The bundle space expanded with two more collections from Humble this week too. The June 2unes bundle is up first, carrying plenty of rhythm games. This carries Kill the Music and Rhythm Witch in the $5 starting tier, followed by Trombone Champ, Spin Rhythm XD, and Thumper in the $7 tier. Paying at least $12 gets you the complete bundle, which adds on Kalpa: Cosmic Symphony, Everhood 2, NOISZ, and Sixtar Gate: StarTrail. The next bundle is for virtual reality fans. This carries Among Us 3D: VR and Zero Caliber VR for $10. The next tier brings in Tactical Assault VR, Ancient Dungeon, and Arizona Sunshine Remake for $15. VTOL VR, Zero Caliber 2 Remastered, Metro Awakening, and Thief VR land to finish things off for $18. Free Events It's a big week for free event fans, as Valve kicked off another one of its Next Fest events. This one carries thousands of gameplay slices from upcoming indie games The promotion is set to run until June 22. Standard free events are also ongoing this weekend. • Poll: Grand Theft Auto VI price predictions, cast your vote by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe After years of waiting, Rockstar will be solidifying the launch date of Grand Theft Auto VI with the launch of pre-orders next week. While the studio has confirmed a date for this occasion, it is yet to attach a price to the highly anticipated game. So let's see what our readers think it will cost at launch. The Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders will kick off on June 25 for digital and physical editions. Unless some last-minute changes happen, the release date will be November 19, 2026, across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, there's still no information about a PC version from the developer or the publisher Take-Two. Now the question becomes, how much will Grand Theft Auto VI cost at launch? The game is predicted by some analysts to be the biggest launch of an entertainment product ever. With the amount of hype that has been built behind it and with ballooning development costs, Take-Two may price this Grand Theft Auto entry differently from other AAA titles. The current price of a AAA game is $69.99. That norm almost rose to $79.99 before calming down. But with such a massive release, Grand Theft Auto VI may be the game that pushes the boundary again. It's also possible that Take-Two keeps the price relatively low to increase the number of players that jump in early and keep them hooked on Grand Theft Auto Online to spend on microtransactions for years to come. Keep in mind that the below poll is asking for a prediction of the standard edition price, not a deluxe or any other special edition that Take-Two will introduce for additional benefits. Also, there is the chance of the company splitting up the campaign and online portions. If you think that will happen, put your vote on what you think will be the total cost of the two. Poll Poll: How much will Grand Theft Auto VI cost? $59.99 $69.99 $79.99 $89.99 $100 or more Submit Vote If you have a very specific prediction in mind, sound off in the comments below.
