Only got one unlock left - the Medic MG3. I have heard it is a bit rubbish, so I am not bothering pushing for it.

It is. While it goes through ammo like there is no tomorrow it takes almost all 100 rounds in your clip to kill someone with it if you're not very accurate. And it can shoot that 100 rounds in about 10 seconds.

Do you guys know what the beeping noise is that comes on sometimes? I can't figure it out. I'll be on foot running or whatever then hear a beep that is every 2 seconds. Then it goes away. I thought it meant you got spotted?? Don't know.

The beep is from the motion sensor of an enemy recon. When you hear it either start looking for the sniper or wait for him to come to you.

-Edit-

Sometimes I just throw one of my own to **** them off or assist my squad mates in finding him.

Honestly I hit Q before I even fire on the PC, this way if I miss them for whatever reason, hopefully someone else gets them and I still get some points. Not only that but it just helps everyone out. on 360 sometimes I do not hit Select before I fire, as it is not as easy as hitting Q truth be told.

I play Recon a lot and I've gotten into the habit of saying "Come on guys, give us Recon something to shoot, press Q before you shoot your target to mark it for us!" in team say. Especially during Push matches because being a sniper and pressing Q and putting a bead on a squad of baddies and/or a tank can be the difference between winning and losing a round. But as a Recon, to get a huge number of targets popping up because people actually listen to that request for marks is an amazing and beautiful thing.

I too, as I've got a helluva range with my sniper rifle will mark almost everything before I take a pot shot at it because if I miss and they see my spot and get me, at least someone will see where they're attacking from and attack them back while I either; die, or find cover.

Actually just wanted to point out, when a medic revives you, it actually puts a ticket back on the scoreboard, so it actually does not count for dying twice in the match itself. K/D ratio I am not sure.

well that teamate could have respawned and gotten into an advantageous position , rather than being constantly being mowed down again and again at the spot where he died... so yeah, keeping him revived is like pinning him to that spot in a way

How'd they get all my gameplay videos?!

Seriously though, as much as I've played I can recognize that there is quite a bit of skill involved in that video, but a lot of it was luck, too. Like the part near the end where he knifed 5-6 people in a row. He was lucky none of them turned around or someone didn't come up behind him. I've tried doing that too but I'm not lucky.

Oh yeah, and I got a quadruple kill last night with DESTRUCTION 2.0. That's the most awesome thing ever pretty much.

Finally played in my first hardcore server today. I only stayed for a couple of matches, but I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I found myself going for headshots a lot more in hardcore than I do in regular games, since it's so much easier to get a kill with just one good burst. I did spam the n00b tube quite a bit though. I just couldn't resist it, ever since I got that specialization that gives you four rifle grenades. :)

Didn't notice any huge sniping problems in the two matches I played, but one of them was on Panama Canal, so it was easy enough to hide behind buildings and whatnot. I may have to try hardcore again sometime.

Can't say I noticed any impact from the Steam update. The server browser still takes an eternity to update, and none of the pings show up for me. I just have to pick servers that look like they're based in North America.

Just had a couple good rounds, with a squad playing as a squad :D.

That heli drone is great fun, especially when the enemy are grouping together, also good for spotting.

Anybody know how to switch weapons on it? I swear i've seen some using a machine gun before :/

You use the alternate vehicle weapon perk in the gear selection/spawn screen.

I recently played on a server where I could use the M1 Garand. The veteran site is still being updated though. I guess it doesn't rely on the website. I used to think that if the site was down, the veteran system would also be down in-game.

As for the random crashes, I'm getting them too - except this time it doesn't crash to my desktop.

yeah i've had a couple where it just gets "stuck" too.

I am in love with the M1 Garand. So much ownage in a neat little package :) It and the M14 are my two favourite weapons in this game. So much more satisfying to use than any M60 or noob-tube/pro-pipe :)

Also, @Anaron: http://www.battlefieldbadcompany2.com/veteran <-- Veteran site is now back up and integrated into the BC2 site.

Nice, the veteran site FINALLY recognizes 1943 for me on the 360, so I am now officially a Level 8 Veteran. :D

Stats not working yet though, said it will be getting them in 3 hrs and 35 minutes.

What I absolutely LOVE about the new My Solider page and something I was wondering if they would include it or not, is I can change from my 360 soldier to my PC soldier right on the fly through the drop down menu. That is an awesome little feature and so glad they added it, as I really was thinking it was going to have to be one or the other I kept track of.

What's odd is I went from level 2 veteran to level 3, now to level 5. It is counting Battlefield Heroes for those that haven't added it yet, it's listed as one of the accepted games.

The funniest thing, before I added all my games to my veteran status, someone called me a band wagoner for playing BC2 without vet status.

Thats funny, its actually the opposite for me. I seldom play recon, but i find it easier for me to mark targets for my team than it is for them. positioning and distance has its advantages for marking. If youre depending on your team to mark for you then youre doing something wrong imo. you're RECON after all... play the role.

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
