I hate it when people res you when it's clear you died in a horrible spot, and probably won't make it out alive again. I wouldn't mind so much if you didn't get deaths until you respawned like in BF2, but I've racked up so many unnecessary deaths by medics just zapping me over and over when I don't want to be res'd in that spot, lol.

haha i know what you mean..i love doing that to people

for instance, i was a medic and this guy kept trying to kill him self so he could change classes i guess and i kept zapping him so he couldnt. it was priceless

It's funny, but you are ****ing up the game.

Just like when you get put in a squad full of ****ing recon!.

Darn. I got over 18000 last night with Assault, but did not have Fraps running to take a screenshot. :( (I think my combat score was around 6400 or so.)

Oh well. I do have some other good ones I can upload when I get home from class, and drinking a St. Patrick's Day portion of Guinness.

I know what you mean, it happens to me daily and it annoys the hell out of me. About 25% of my deaths that didn't come from grenade launchers or rpg spam came from medics who kept reviving me when it's clear that's not a good idea. They tell me "it gives tickets back", but I just end up dieing again because I can't react fast enough after the revive to do anything.

Sorry but people like you make games for people that enjoy them not fun.

So what, you died again. So? Just respawn again. It's not like the end of the world if you die more

You two are missing the point. Dieing more = losing faster. On top of that you might not care if you die a lot but some people do. I'm not the sort that usually cares about K/D ratio, I go after objectives like a man obsessed. But that doesn't change the fact that I don't like it when I get deaths that could have totally been avoided.

As I said.. dieing more means you lose faster. Especially as an attacker on rush or on conquest. Also the fact that the less time I spend watching the respawn screen means I have more time actually playing the fun part of the game..

I know, but let's say you got killed (1 ticket lost). You get revived (1 ticket back). Then you died again (1 ticket lost). So you lose nothing from the original death anyway. and who knows when you were revived, you might be alive or kill a few defenders? :)

Lots of people in this game more concerned about their K/D ratio than actually playing the game... I revive you, you moan. I don't revive you, you moan. I play as a different class, you moan. I use a weapon you don't like, you moan. I kill you... you get the picture...

This game is often frustrating to play not because of the mechanics, but because of the people.

haha its funny how mad you guys get...u must be trying to go pro

if u have a problem getting revived then dont die?

Sure thing. Just let me enter IDDQD and I'll be good to go. Oh wait, wrong game.

I like how the revivals were handled in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, and I really wish that the DICE guys would adopt a system like that. Basically, when you lose all of your health in ET, the camera hovers over your corpse, and you can either lie on the ground and wait for a medic to revive you, or you can hit a button and have your character die. At least that way, you can avoid those situations where you're clearly screwed.

The fact that the camera isn't on you after you die doesn't help either. Its such a shock when you're revived that sometimes you don't even have time to think about what to do.

Except for in situations where it's clearly not a good idea to revive someone. Like you're right in front of a tank or there's 3 or 4 enemy guys right near you.

All that time is still time I spend looking at the respawn screen instead of actually playing the game. Which bothers me. You might like staring at that screen but I don't.

I play Medic a lot and it's a part of my Medic-playing philosophy to revive other players when the threat of dying is low. Basically, I wouldn't revive anyone if there's a tank nearby or 5 enemies. That would be stupid.

It's funny though. I sometimes see Medics running (with defibs out) toward a group of friendly bodies only to get mowed down by the turret on a tank.

Yeah, see, you got it right, but a lot of medics have the Rambo mentality with their M60's and RDS's charging into battle and never mind what else is going on around them.

They talk about K/D ratio, but they're the ones doing it more by just going after revive points no matter what it costs anyone else.

As for people talking about grenade launchers..I play an assault mainly, but I personally think they should make it so ammo bags don't refill rockets and grenades for engineer and assault. That will make people use them more wisely..hopefully.

Seeing that heart monitor symbol though... just makes you wanna run in there and zap your teammates. Like bees to nectar, it's almost irresistible.

Also, the update is finally out on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/news/3607/

Actually just wanted to point out, when a medic revives you, it actually puts a ticket back on the scoreboard, so it actually does not count for dying twice in the match itself. K/D ratio I am not sure.

I am definitely not defending medics that revive when their is an entire enemy squad around and death is inevitable if they revive you. It is annoying. With that said, there are some moments I have thought the coast was clear and it was not, so it happens, sometimes a medic revives someone and they will die again, more often than not so does the medic as well.

That's a good point, and it's something that I probably overlooked in retrospect. I assumed that the Medic was just trying to grab points, but it could have just been an honest mistake.

Nice to see the update finally on Steam. No more SecuROM! Here's hoping that those server browser fixes can work some magic and eliminate my long refresh times.

Regarding the Medic revives, I think I'd rather have them revive me to get the added ticket than to just stand around doing nothing. It does suck when you get that revival and immediately you die BUT at least they are using their extra tools. I am getting so sick of players on my team watching the opponent just run by them. I see all these snipers camped out, hell I even spawn on them, watch them and they don't shoot! WTF? Playing Rush last night on Valparaiso trying to get the first set of M-COMs, we had 3 snipers camped out on the line. They could have taken out the enemies who running to defuse the M-COM. I would go set the charge then see enemies running at me and no support at all. I wish more people used headsets!

One thing I really love doing now is spotting. You get great points for it, especially in squad. I go out of my way a lot of times to spot the enemy first then proceed. Not enough players do that either.
