BFBC2 SP is better than MW2 SP, imo.

Longer playtime, the set pieces are busier (if somewhat less inventive) but the frequent transition points can somewhat spoil the overall effect.

Playtime was around 8-10hrs (didn't measure - I'm not a particularly good FPs gamer though. Hardcore gamer could do it in 6, I bet).

How does the flow feel? MW2 really lost me as I appeared to win a jet set tour of the world.

lies,

beta runs great on my system. have the graphics maxed out @ 1440x900 with my system. Core 2 Duo e6400 @ 3ghz/ 4 gigs of DDR Ram and an slightly overlocked XFX 800GT runnings windows 7 x64. 8x AF and 4x AA. oh the AA is done through nHancer

[...]

I have an E6750 @ 3.2 GHz, 8GB-DDR2 RAM, and an HD 4870 and I can't get more than 40 FPS [constant] at 1680x1050 with 2xAA/4xAF (on medium). It's usually between 30-40 FPS. :s I guess you can pull it off at 1440x900, but you'll need to run it in DX9 mode for better performance. AA won't work though.

As for the soldier list, I have something better. Google Docs. :)

Just click on the link and add the required info. Just remember to save it (File>Save and Close). (Y)

By the way, I've added some names to the list already. Feel free to correct it if I made any mistakes.

Is there any protection from someone just going and deleting everyone/specific users from it?

I can see the revision history and revert to an older version that hasn't been "tampered with". Plus, you can periodically download it (in multiple formats including PDF) and post it here (e.g. Soldier list as of March 1st, etc).

Oh sweet, that's pretty neet. Anyway we can use my "pr0" logo? :p

So are we deciding on Google Docs then? Best to pick one main method rather than having 3 or 4 methods floating around.

Not sure but it looks like someone might have already tampered with it, as I see you mentioned adding some names already and I saw none on it right now when I checked it out.

You could get people to add their details here:

http://www.heavymess...SoldierList.php

Then get the list here:

http://www.heavymess...er/Soldiers.csv

What I quoted seemed to work good. The google docs page was blank for me, any reason for that or am I too noob?

Nvm, has names on it now.

I added the image but I couldn't figure out a way to move it or resize it for that matter. I'd say Google Docs is the best method, for now.

That'd be me. I accidentally deleted the list while trying to delete an image I added. It should be fine now.

Yeah I just banned their IP. I may add a swear filter when I get round to it :). Also good idea for location I'll make it a drop down list for US / EU / Other

I think it'd be a better idea for it to be a text field like the Neowin name and soldier name. That way, we can know where that person is. "Other" doesn't tell us that much. Thanks again!

What about timezone? That way people can easily see what timezone it is and doesn't matter what country?

Timezone sounds good.

Something like this...

Neowin Username | BF2BC Username | Location | Timezone | Platform

Anaron | Anaron | US/Canada | EST | PC

That looks good. And Anaron, about that new rule/policy change that Barney just posted.. so now people can post game spoilers before a game is even released or what? I don't care about screen shots and the like but I don't want to read spoilers about story line before a game is even out.

Doesn't really apply to this game in particular because we're all mostly playing for the multiplayer, but for other games it does.

Edit: What I'm refering to:

Yes, game discussion about a leaked game is now allowed as long as you don't post links or instructions on how to obtain it.

This topic is now closed to further replies.

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
