^I haven't had any crazy reactions during this series, haha. I've had a few "wow" moments but that's about it. The quality isn't the same as all the other Gundam series. Gundam AGE, to me, is just a rehash of previous UC Gundam series all blended and then rushed into 3 arcs instead of 3 different series, like Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit ZZ Gundam.

tons of replaced parts I'd say. I have the original MG Freedom.. does not look anything like what it is shown here.

I have the original as well and I agree. Though it looks pretty great for a custom build. Loving the RG colour scheme that's been used as well.

Haha, the X-Rounder thing didn't catch me at first til I got used to it during each season. Ever since I bothered to watch almost every Gundam show to now, all I can ever think about are NewTypes, Coordinators, and Innovators every time I see a new "race". The tradition is fun honestly. :p

It all originated from the "New Type" thing though. It's one of the key things for a Gundam Formula because they're seen as the next step in human evolution and are thought of to be the ones to be able to bring peace.

So I'm on AGE Season 3. Did any of you happen to have such a crazy reaction when the Diva made it back into space? :D

I had 'o ****' reactions when Flit's love died in the end of act 1 and the death of Woolf. That's about it. The awesome part was when Double Bullet was revealed. (Still the best Gundam+Wear of the series so far).

@Jam : I'm just totally jealous that I don't have that MG Freedom. lol. I hate it.

My last reaction was Asemu.

I never knew he was the pirate until he mentioned Kio.

Darth Asemu: You are beaten, it is useless to resist. Don?t let yourself be destroyed as the white wolf did.

*Darth Asemu/AGE-2 Dark Hound cuts off AGE-3?s saber hand*

Kio: Arghhhh!!!

Darth Asemu: There is no escape. Don?t make me destroy you.

*Kio/AGE-3 moves away from Darth Asemu/AGE-2 Dark Hound*

Darth Asemu: Kio, you do not yet realize your importance. You have only begun to discover your X-Rounder power. Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict, and bring order to the galaxy!

Kio: I?ll never join you!

Darth Asemu: If you only knew the power of the Dark Side. Flit Asuno never told you what happened to your father?

Kio: He told me enough, he told me he went MIA.

Darth Asemu: No, I AM YOUR FATHER.

*slow version of Imperial March plays as Kio shakes his head*

Kio: No, no. *voice shaking* That?s not true, that?s impossible!

Darth Asemu: Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

Kio: NO! NOOOOOOO!!

Darth Asemu: Kio, you can destroy Ezelcant and the Vagan. He has foreseen this. It is your destiny. Join me, and together, we can rule the Earth Federation as father and son!

*Darth Asemu clenches fist and reaches out towards Kio*

Darth Asemu: Come with me, it is the only way.

*Abis squad and the Diva come to Kio?s rescue and he escapes*

HA.

^It's a slow and boring episode. The only bit that's interesting is the end tbh.

@Razorwing: Time to get customizing I guess :p I'm thinking about getting into panel lining once I buy the MG 1/100 Zeta Gundam.

Also, LOVING that custom build of the Rick Dias. That looks really amazing. The Rick Dias definitely is one of the best non-Gundam suits. Though, it was to be called Gamma Gundam because it was made of the same material (Gundarium ?) as the RX-178 Gundam Mk II and Zeta Gundam.

Though, Razorwing doesn't know about the awesomeness that is the Rick Dias since he hasn't seen "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" yet :p

^I'm 26 episodes in... no offense, but boring as hell so far.

Might be due to the fact that you rather see Gundam fights. Oh well, I find Zeta Gundam the best series around since everything's original in it and the mobile suits looks great. Plus the story is really well done. The best Gundam story so far IMO.

@MrXXIV: I wouldn't expect any kind of action like that. It's a show that's aimed for kids. So they water it down a bit unlike what they did in Gundam 00.

This is one epic Gouf:

Should be tonight or tomorrow.

@Jam : well not really, the story of Zeta so far isn't really catching my eye. And Camille always yelling "Camille, let's go" when launching is an freaking annoying. TBH, the Zeta design isn't even that great. I can definitely say I am not a fan of the suit design. Sure it's a Gundam.. but it's just the name. Kinda like the Vagan "Gundam". I guess the design of it is not catching my eye at all. I guess one thing is the head design.. looks nothing of the Gundam sort.. doesn't even have a defining black edge and red chin. Sure it's an inspiration to AGE with the transformable design.. but other than that.. meh. I guess that's why I don't like the show.. the Zeta is no go for me. lol. Sure there are major characters in the show that have major impact leading to the events of Unicorn. But I can't stand the animation and the Zeta design.

See what happens is that when I watch it, I'm like ok.. here we go. Then I lose interest like 5mins in.. cause nothing happens. lol. So I go on Neowin or whatever and totally lose interest in what they are talking about.

@Razorwing: What Kamille does before he launches, that's something every pilot has been doing when they launch. It's odd that you say that it doesn't look like a Gundam sort even tough it's the 3rd Gundam ever designed. You could also say that it's one of the most original Gundam for not copying the characteristics of the RX-78-2 in its head. And what do you mean with the "defining black edge"? Also, the reason why it's a Gundam isn't because of it's appearance but because of the material it is made of. Also, it's designed by Kamille Bidan, who's first Gundam is the RX-178 Gundam Mk II. he probably didn't really care about such things back then. Only that it had to look mean etc. All the later series never where about this so they took the characteristics of RX-78-2's head.

To each their own though. I loved the animation of Zeta Gundam because I have a huge respect for old animation and it's so different than today's animation. It's all hand made and whatnot. Plus the story really appealed to me because they fleshed out the whole New Type thing that they only tipped on in the first series.

But yeah, to each their own. I rather have any of the UC anime then any of the other anime.

Uhhh no they don't. Every Pilot states their mobile suit and name. Kamille only says his name "Kamille, Launch!" If he said "Kamille, Zeta Gundam LAUNCHING!" That's loads better. As for the design of the Zeta... I find the faceplate of it to be annoying. It's elongated and ugly IMO. The Black edge I was talking about is well what I meant is it's too bland.

zeta_gundam_stream1.jpg

I dunno to me.. it's really bland. There is nothing to break up the white. It's like the chin should be red, but it's white... which IMO is ugly. Again, as you said to each their own. I also have respect traditional animation.. don't say I don't. I can respect it, and still not like it. It's a style I'm not used to so probably I will not like it. Say for an example. I like Gundam Wing, it's also traditional animation. Love the art style.. I guess what kept me watching was the designs of the Gundams.

^I never said you didn't have respect for old animation. Gundam Wing is newer though so the sequences looks somewhat better.

I think the head looks awesome. I see what you mean though. But I like it because it looks mean, original and different.

I don't see what's wrong with him saying "Kamille, Launch!". He only says this so that the operator knows he's launching. He's been using several mobile suits and the operator usually knows which suit they're using. Though I don't see it as something that trivial. You must also remember that he's not a matured pilot like all the others. They might've used that to show the watcher that he's not an actual soldier, but still a kid who's fighting in a war. That's just a theory I just thought up now. I've never given it much thought because I never found it to be of any importance :p

But still, to each their own. It'll be my next Gunpla for whenever I feel like getting a new one. Currently going through a very rough time with my family so my head isn't really set for anything like that.

    • Microsoft AI boss no longer believes that AI will replace human workers by David Uzondu Mustafa Suleyman, the head of Microsoft AI, recently took back his statements concerning white-collar jobs that he gave to the Financial Times in an interview made back in February, where he claimed that AI would replace office workers within 12 to 18 months. On Monday's episode of The Verge's Decoder, Suleyman recast the technology as more like a helpmate than a tool designed to take over your job. He explained that smaller office duties will "increasingly become digitized, automated" as people generate more digital materials. During the discussion, Suleyman emphasized a "very important distinction" between "tasks" and "jobs" to clarify his previous claims. He argued that his earlier comments only referred to individual actions that people perform at their desks. Suleyman used to work for DeepMind, the research lab he co-founded in 2010 alongside Demis Hassabis and Shane Legg, before he left in 2022 to establish Inflection AI and build an empathetic digital assistant. Microsoft hired him in March 2024 to lead its newly formed "Microsoft AI" division, placing him in charge of consumer products like Copilot, Bing, and Edge. His February comments also detailed plans for Microsoft to achieve self-sufficiency with a $140 billion infrastructure budget to train frontier models, predicting that creating a customized AI will soon feel like creating a podcast or a new blog: The 41-year-old is not the only AI executive who's softened his "AI will replace you" stance. OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman, last month used X to push back against employment panic by arguing that his startup builds tools to assist humans rather than build replacements. He had previously garnered backlash by suggesting that many modern office roles that AI might replace did not qualify as "real work" in the first place, at least when you compare desk jobs to physical, historical labor like farming.

    • Meta will now use data from outside businesses to personalize AI responses by David Uzondu In an update that's rolling out globally (except in a handful of countries), Meta will use your data from outside businesses to personalize your AI responses and your primary feeds. Meta already utilizes your shopping activity to target ads, but the company now plans to expand this tracking to personalize other "parts of your experience" like feed algorithms and AI assistant chats. The company is replacing the two settings ("Your activity off Meta technologies" and "Activity from other businesses") that currently let you disconnect off-platform activity with a single, renamed setting called Activity from other businesses. If you don't want Meta to manipulate your feed and AI responses using your outside history, you can just turn the Activity from other businesses setting off in your account settings. This toggle resides within your Accounts Center, applying your choice to every connected profile. Turning this off will not stop companies from sending your data to Meta. The company will still collect your web interactions, but it only uses them to train products, while still accessing external accounts you connect. When The Verge spoke to Meta spokesperson Emil Vazquez, the representative said that this update will exclude several locations at launch, including the European region, the UK, Brazil, Thailand, South Africa, Turkey, South Korea, Ecuador, Nigeria, and Kenya. The new update comes at a time when the social media giant is recovering from a major PR disaster involving generative AI. Last week, there was a huge security issue on Instagram where attackers figured out a way to trick Meta AI into handing over account ownership (even if the victim had 2FA enabled). Some of the affected accounts include the dormant Obama White House profile, cosmetics brand Sephora, the Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force, and security researcher Jane Manchun Wong. Internally, the company also had to scale back plans on its Model Capability Initiative (MCI), an employee-monitoring program designed to train corporate AI models by recording worker keystrokes and screen activity, after employees raised privacy concerns and complained about severe battery life drain.
