Good to know that it's going to be a full series! :D Though it's a bummer that some of the original cast wont be able to reprise their roles.

After 34 years, the original voices would be hard to work with, don't you think? :p

^Most of them reprised their rolls on "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: A New Translation". But for instance, the voice for Sayla Mass passed away. Bright's original voice actor Hirotaka Suzuoki performed his last voicing role on Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: III Love is the Pulse of the Stars.

Also, some development:

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Set for 2014!?

According to Anime News Network: ANN confirmed that the March issue of Gundam Ace magazine does not state that the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin anime will air in 2014. The magazine's August 2011 issue did state that an anime project of Yoshikazu Yasuhiko's Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga would be launching.

Earlier this week, an image began circulating online that claimed that the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin TV anime is scheduled to air in 2014. The image is the poster illustration that Yasuhiko created for the 1981 film Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow, except with text added.

Another image began circulating online this week, but its text simply says: "Mobile Suit Gundam, the first TV anime in the Gundam franchise which debuted in 1979 ? Now we will go back to the origin in 2014 when it will be the 35-year anniversary!"

On Friday, producer Masakazu Ogawa announced on the official Twitter account for Mobile Suit Gundam AGE that production on a new project featuring the characters Asemu Asuno and Zeheart Galette has "finally" been green-lit. Ogawa did not specify what kind of project it is, or even if it is anime.

In light of the announcement, designer Michinori Chiba drew a new sketch on a sheet with Japanese animation registration holes.

Ogawa had mused in September about a possible story focusing on the characters' days as students. In November 2012, Ogawa and Chiba released a rough sketch to the official Twitter account that was used to introduce the characters for a possible new project.

In the AGE anime, Asemu was the main character of the second generation with Zeheart as his antagonist. The television series premiered in October of 2011, and it ended on September 23, 2012, shortly before Ogawa mentioned the tentative plans.

^That's pretty stupid to be honest :/ The main story has already ended and now they're going to flesh out part of that story, which isn't even an interesting part? I was hoping that they where going to create some original work again. But this is honestly a stupid idea.

I'm hoping that "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin" will have the same quality as Gundam Unicorn. Music wise, animation wise, voice actor wise, story telling wise, etc.

The first show to ever truly "almost" make me cry was 00. Some of others too (some with mad reasonable opinions). Then there was Unicorn, this show alone is a on another level of holy bad ass.

I made this a personal quote.

"Humanity alone possesses a God. The power to transcend the now, the inner God called "Possibility."

- Gundam Unicorn (Vol. 2)

^What do you mean?

@Mr.XXIV: I believe I've only had that with Zeta Gundam :p

I did have a bit of it in Zeta. :p If one were to not even watch the U.C timeline as a whole, you'd probably get bright slapped for not understanding any puns, haha.

Imagine every single Gundam show was reanimated to HD, I mean Unicorn HD! :D

To be honest, I like Zeta Gundam the way it is, haha. Though it's remastered/new parts of "A New Translation" look damn awesome as well. Different than Unicorn though which is a good thing. The remastered/new parts for "A New Translation" look original and like the the style that was used in Zeta Gundam, though more modern of course. It looked original as well.

A New Translation's animation is just sexy. I'm just a pixel addict! Don't get me wrong, the same voice acting everything should stay. I just think that true color and hires imaging should be made from time to time in at least every decade! :)

Well, I said it was a stupid idea and I still stand by it:

Mobile Suit Gundam AGE - Memory of Eden - Compilation Outlined

Project to compile TV anime with focus on 2nd generation's Asemu & Zeheart

The official website for the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE anime confirmed on Wednesday that production on Mobile Suit Gundam AGE Memory of Eden has been green-lit. This project will recompile the television series (from the Asemu arc onward) to focus on the characters Asemu Asuno and Zeheart Galette.

In the AGE anime, Asemu was the main character of the second generation with Zeheart as his antagonist. The television series premiered in October of 2011, and it ended on September 23, 2012. Shortly thereafter, producer Masakazu Ogawa mentioned the tentative plans for a new project featuring these two characters, and he revealed earlier this month that the project had "finally" been green-lit.

Gundam AGE episode director Shinya Watada is helming Memory of Eden at Sunrise with episode writer Noboru Kimura in charge of scripts. Other returning staff members include story supervisor Akihiro Hino, original character designer Takuz? Nagano, character designer Michinori Chiba, and musical composer Kei Yoshikawa. The project will reunite several of the cast members, including Takuya Eguchi as Asemu and Hiroshi Kamiya as Zeheart.

Previous Gundam and Sunrise series have spawned similar "Special Editions" compilations.

I know, I read it before I posted it. My opinion about it though is that it's stupid that they're doing it. It would've been nicer if they green-lit an anime about Frozen Teardrop.

Asemu's Arc was the nicest of the 3, I give you that. But re-compiling out something that has already aired is boring imo and to me has no point.

Though, this kinda makes up for it:

    • If its the devs fault you would think Unreal would help M$ take full advantage of Unreal and work with them to fix the performance issues. Otherwise they are catching unwarranted bad press.
    • Thanks for the advice guys, I'll give my current GPU a clean and then run the benchmarks to see how similar it is. Hopefully a bit of a clean-out will help it last a bit longer.
    • Pretty sure those will still be in this game. The series' well-explored psychosis themes will return as well.

    • Microsoft making much needed change to Windows 11, 10 Patch Tuesday security updates by Sayan Sen Recently, Microsoft delivered its latest Defender patches for Windows 11 ISOs. These definitions are released from time to time alongside the general security updates available during Patch Tuesday. Speaking of Defender, the company has now announced another important change that affects how security updates are delivered to enterprise devices running Windows. According to a recent announcement, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's endpoint detection and response (EDR) updates will no longer be bundled with the monthly Windows security updates or Patch Tuesdays. Instead the company is shifting delivery of these updates to Microsoft Update, bringing EDR servicing in line with several other Microsoft Defender components. If you recall, Microsoft last year moved PowerShell updates to Microsoft Update (MU) as well since it provides automatic updates for Microsoft products and services. Thus the move is intended to allow Microsoft to deliver EDR improvements and security enhancements independently of the OS's regular monthly update cycle; this should enable faster deployment of protection updates without requiring organizations to wait for the next Patch release. For those unfamiliar, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's EDR capabilities are designed to help organizations detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats across managed devices. Keeping these components updated is critical for maintaining protection against evolving attack techniques. The rollout has already began for Windows 10 devices in late May 2026 (last month) and Microsoft says it will gradually expand support to Windows 11 and the remaining supported Windows versions over the coming months. The company expects deployment across Windows 10 and Windows 11 to be completed by fall 2026 or around Q3 of this year. Once the transition is complete, EDR updates will be delivered through Microsoft Update using KB5005292, provided the required prerequisite updates have already been installed. Microsoft is also introducing a new Defender Update Service as part of the change. Following installation of the first update, devices will automatically create a new directory located at %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Microsoft Defender\Defender Update. Microsoft notes that restarts may occasionally be necessary in case of "rare" failure scenarios. For most organizations, the tech giant says no action will be required as long as Microsoft Update is already permitted within their update management strategy. Admins who rely on manually deployed update packages, however, will need to adjust their processes to ensure the new Defender update package is included. Microsoft also recommends reviewing internal documentation and notifying helpdesk and security operations teams about the updated delivery mechanism to avoid confusion during the transition. As a prerequisite, the tech giant notes that systems must be running Sense version 10.8798.25857.1000 or later and have one of the following Windows updates (or later) installed: Win11 24H2 KB5062660 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win11 23H2 KB5062663 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win11 22H2 KB5062663 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win10 22H2 KB5062649 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win10 1809 KB5063877 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) Server 2019 KB5063877 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) Server 2022 KB5063880 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) Server 2025 KB5063878 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) As always, organizations should verify that their update policies align with the new servicing approach before the broader rollout reaches all supported Windows platforms later this year. In case of major problems, the EDR update can be rolled back to the inbox version stored in %ProgramFiles%\\Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) using: MpCmdRun.exe -RevertMde -Product Edr -ToVersion Inbox For those who have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center portal, you can view the message here under ID MC1381119.
