Shoot, I wish they'd talk more about the death of the real char + how FF was created.

This is already known though. He died at the end of Char's Counterattack, during the "Axis Shock". And Full Frontal is a clone of Char, he's a genetically altered near-exact doppelg?nger of Char, a Cyber Newtype with the near exact distinctions of Char. His memories were implanted from the Psycoframe that absorbed the "Will" of Char that drifted through space. He possesses the residual thoughts of Char which were distorted in despair because humanity did not change after witnessing the miracle that occurred during "Axis Shock".

Okay, after all the times watching Char's Counterattack, I never knew he actually died at that time (though that should have been obvious since CC is after ZZ). I'm still stuck up on Gundam Zeta. I was mad about that part.

Well, both Amuro and Char died during the "Axis Shock". No idea why some people are having a hard time believing that :p (Not you necessarily, but there were people on Twitter and other Gundam related sites that didn't believe they both died). They don't show their deaths but even they can't survive what happened. And what part do you mean with Gundam Zet?

When he fought Haman and was never heard from again til CC.

Oh, that. Yeah, that wasn't exactly planned while making Gundam Zeta. Yoshiyuki Tomino has stated officially that he had originally intended to feature Char in Double Zeta, but the plan was canceled when he was granted the go-ahead with the theatrical feature Char's Counterattack.

Gundam: Reconguista in G's 2nd Video, Story, Cast, Staff, Designs Unveiled

001-7.jpg

The official website for the Gundam: G no Reconguista (Gundam: Reconguista in G) anime unveiled the second promotional video, as well as new information on the story, characters, mecha, keywords, staff, cast, and release information on Monday.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmUDyY_HFyc

Some time has passed since the end of the Universal Century, a history marked by space colonization and space warfare.

Humanity's prosperity, which ushered in a new era known as Reguild Century (R.C.), was believed to endure alongside the global peace.

It is the year R.C.1014.

The Capital Tower is an orbital elevator that rose above the Earth's surface and linked Earth and space. As the conduit of the Photon Battery energy source to the surface, it is regarded as sacred.

Beruri Zenamu is in the middle of training for the Capital Guard (established to protect the Capital Tower), when the tower is attacked by G-Serufu ? a highly maneuverable mobile suit with technology that is not from any known country.

Beruri, who joins the battle in the maintenance mobile suit Rekuten, successfully captures the G-Serufu. However, Beruri feels something for the space pirate girl named Aiida Reihanton who piloted the G-Serufu. It is the same feeling he has for G-Serufu, even though he supposedly never seen it before. The G-Serufu, which should only be operable under specific conditions, is somehow started up by Beruri.

The objective of Aiida and the space pirates who attacked the Capital Tower, and the fate followed by Beruri who was chosen by G-Serufu, will lead to truths that will shake the entire Reguild Century era.

Whenever they make a new series these years, it's been for the younger, though I'd still watch it. :) I do wish they would bring back shows similar to Gundam 00 though. Something our age that brings in some kind of emotion and..despair. *cough*

But it goes without saying, I'm still gonna watch it, i'm always faithful on all coming Gundam series. It did take me a bit of time to watch shows like Gundam ZZ and After X, then it grew on me.  :p

So you basically mean like Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam and ZZ. Because that's where Gundam 00 took that from :p

Also, first 1/144 version of G-Serufu:

Haha, but don't you see how Gundam 00 related a lot more to our reality? Of course it took place 300 years later in A.D, but the show had to be the most bloody, heartbreaking Gundam series of it's time, not even Seed comes close in my opinion. :P To this day though, I'm still curious about the previous generations of Celestial Being. I know I can read the manga. And I understand creating an Anime for the previous gens is milking it. But sometimes I wish I show could tell us about the roots just like what they're doing with Gundam Origins.

I really wish I could pilot a Gundam.

The most bloody and heartbreaking of it's time? You clearly haven't seen Zeta then. Heck, even the original is more heartbreaking than Gundam 00 if you ask me. And both of those series related to our reality as well because some inspiration were taking from the WWII and Cold War and other things that were going on in the media war-wise.

Not liking that head design one bit. lol.

It looks alright imo. It's unique, futuristic and original which is something you'd expect that a timeline that is set after Universal Century (still the same universe though).

I love the heads from AGE way more than I do this one. This is too utopia for me..

No idea why you named Gundam AGE, but yeah, those heads looked nice too.

Because AGE 1-3/FX have better head designs?

It just seemed a bit random to name that series out of all of them since they based their designs on the originals. While the mobile suits from AGE looked al right, they were all based blatantly based on the original designs/designs they knew would bring in cash Gunpla-wise.

I do understand that they want to go a different direction with "Gundam Reconguista in G". Heck, it would even be odd if the Gundam still looked the same as the ones from Universal Century, since it's set after that timeline. But I do like the designs from Universal Century a whole lot more. They looked more robust and powerful and less flashy. Regardless of that, I'll definitely be watching the series!

Ah, I was only basing on more recent series for the younger generations.

Thank you, it's an MG

Once you finish your first one it gets a lot better.

Ooh I hope to pick up the Seven Swords. What was it that allows you to custom paint your models, because I believe when I move into a bigger apartment next year, I hope to build some personal-feeling-based Gunplas in a computer room.

Well there are the Gundam Markers which I've started out with. There are two kinds one for panel linings (as I've done) and there's the other with a larger tip similar to a sharpie for covering whole pieces. I myself would like to dabble into this, it's such a rewarding experience.

    • Does anyone here know if these updates are integrated into the UUP dump isos?

    • NVIDIA officially supports Ubuntu, as linked above with the GeForce NOW Hands on I did in collaboration with Paul Hill.
    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
    • Yes, I actually glossed over the Linux part from the OP. You could always go for a 9070 XT and if you really want to play Ray Traced games in the future, GeForce Now is pretty damn good on Linux https://www.neowin.net/news/nvidias-native-geforce-now-app-for-linux-bridges-the-gaming-gap-hands-on/
