Myth = busted I'd say.

I don't actually speak Japanese, but that looks terribly bloated. I'm sure a native Japanese could express the same by using far less signs.

That being said, OP's pic can't be correct because you can't represent grammatical relations with kanji. You can say "love", but you can't express the relation of that word to an object.

Sorry but there are many ways to write I love you in Japanese and this one is rather not in proper way,it's by Japanese slang.If you perform a search by google or any dictionary it won't show up like the one i posted.

you guys take this too serious though
