I'm underwhelmed.

Pixels all over, bad textured rocks, trees, everything that isn't the track itself looks bad.

GT, by history, is supposed to be one of Sony's graphic goliaths. GT5 would go unmentioned in best graphic games of this generation.

A friend let me borrow it because "I don't really play it"... I'm very, very, very happy I didn't ask for this and a pro $200 wheel for xmas.

It's all good tho, KZ3 approaches for my eyes to feast upon.

Looking for a touring car for the DTM race in Extreme series? If anyone can gift one that would be great or can a Lexus IS-F Race Mod work? I want to race mod all the cars that are able to modded so I would buy it anyway.

I am not sure if the Lexus you are referring to is the one that I bought for the DTM races... Is it the concept car for 750k? If so then yes it will work, but I can gift you mine so you can do the races, let me know if you still need it!

If it's what remus_lupin mentioned, the Lexus IS-F Racing Concept, then yes, that's eligible for the DTM races. I used that one and thrashed the competition! :)

The cars and tracks look amazing, and honestly, that's all that matters.

I can't agree. The cars look "ok", the tracks look "good", nothing excels. Maybe your playing on a smaller screen size, I'm playing on a 46".

The game has been in development for years and years and delayed how many times? It matters. Your choosing to accept less.

Yes, the trees, rocks, and smoke look horrible. But if you're driving right, you won't notice. seriously, this has to be the best racer I've seen so far.

I raced once, finished 3rd, couldn't get past it. Set the controller down, told my friend to sell it now while it still has resell value.

Your points are valid, it has to be said. But if you can look past the rough edges you'll find a brilliant game. Imo, you should at least give it an evening or two's play before dismissing it.

If you still need something, I've got an Audi TT touring car which makes for a brilliant race. It's fast enough to win, but not too fast to make it a walk-over. Handles brilliantly for an FR (at first I could of sworn it was 4WD.)

Just because you've never played a real racing game before and can't win your first race doesn't mean it's a bad game..

This exact statement is why this game will never be "Game of the Year". As a hardcore car/racing guy I love it, The physics, cars tracks ect.... are brilliant and am easily able to look past that but I am a minority. As a casual gamer, this game is hard to swallow and casual gamers seem to be the ones who buy the most. I personally bought my PS3, wheel and seat in anticipation of this game and never looked back. A matter of fact I literally just finished the DTM series on Extreme and popped over here to check Neowin ;)

GT5 is an absolutely awesome game, but after logging quite some time with it and completing much of the GT mode, it lacks the "it" factor for me. I'm kinda bored of it, this is something that never happened with GT3, and GT4.

Yeah, I'm starting to feel that way as well, but I think that's because there aren't enough events. I'm stuck in limbo on level 27. Outside of the endurance races, I've only got the Formula GT championship to do, and I can't do that because I have nowhere near enough money to buy a Formula GT (if anyone could gift me one for the championship, I'd be grateful), and I've done all the seasonal events as good as I can, so I can't really get any extra XP out of those. Hopefully when the current batch of seasonal events finish up, we'll see some new ones, and then I can start working my way up to level 30 again.

You skim read and/or lack understanding too much.

Try again.

Or you didn't clarify it in your previous post. All you say is "I raced once, finished 3rd, couldn't get past it. Set the controller down, told my friend to sell it now while it still has resell value." So we can only assume you only did one race.

As for this...

The premium cars look amazing, and I'm playing in 1080p on a Samsung 32" TV.

And as for development and delays, you're blowing it all out of proportion. There were four years between the releases of GT3 and GT4. There were five years between GT4 and GT5. Now, considering GT3 and GT4 were both done on the same console, and GT5 was done on a new console, I'd say that's not a bad timeframe. And as for the delays, it was only delayed twice, and the second delay was by less than a month, so you're definitely exaggerating things.

Sometimes you have to milk the points. Some of the Extreme championships pay out rather well for little work. I have been using the 2nd race in the "Like the Wind" race. Fast car, oval. Takes about 4 min for 88k credits and 4k experience. Some of the others give 99k and 6k. Repetitive, yes but must be done IMHO.

Ok, I'm level 25 done most of the A-SPec stuff, just got the Formula one to do, and most of the endurance. The Endurance are the only ones I won't be able to do until there is a save feature for during the race. Other than that its been OK, but I am disappointed after all this time the game isn't bigger! Online is rubbish, atleast the races I've had, very little rewards.

Disappointed I paid full price, another game in 2010 that has proven pre-orders and full price isn't worth it! GT5 will be the last full price game I'll have bought. 2011 will be cheap! atleast £25 or less for any game I'll buy.

I did the Special Event all golds, for Beginner + Intermediatte, for the Jeff Gordon? but I thought you get a free nascar car at the end, because my brother has one and said he got it from there.

I did'nt get anything for all golds in beginner+intermediatte :/

You have to gold all three.

Well done, that's how I usually do things! :p Normally, I don't buy any new game straight away, unless it's ?30 or under, like GT5, and Rock Band 3. If it's over six months old, then no more than ?20. Then if it's over a year old, no more than ?15.

Mate, you shouldn't be disappointed, anyone who bought the signature edition should :p

I just picked it up for £45 like 2 months after release instead of £130!

Sold my copy of GT5 for £32 as well on Ebay (to be replaced by sig edition), so it's holding it's value.

You can expect a Formula GT from me Wednesday 6PM Central MJ.:shiftyninja:

    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.

Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
    • People in the '50s and '60s had the same attitude, and we're still here over a half century later.
    • So after some fiddling I was able to get it to run at a pretty stable 30FPS. I'm slightly surprised about how much fiddling I had to do to get there though given what I thought was reasonable hardware: Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 16 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon RX 7700S I think I could do it better if I use Linux rather than Windows, Windows RAM usage is stupid without stripping the system down. But once I got it working in a reasonable state, it was so awesome! I felt like a new Bond! If anyone has any advice to get things going a bit smoother FPS-wise, I'd appreciate it.
