Yup. Even though GT5 isn't true 1080p, it looks great. Just like Halo Reach, which runs at like 640p, and that still looks great. It shows that the "P" doesn't always matter as long as it looks good and is fun.

Except 640p isn't even HD rofl.gif

use these aids, SRF, TC=1, ASM.

Those aids did help but I realized I just suck at keeping the formula gran turismo on the track lol. Seriously the damn car stays on the dirt and grass more than the road.

I have yet to race the formula 1 in GT5 but I have put allot of time in Formula 1 2010 and will say the key is throttle input. Easy on the throttle at all times and especially if your car is not going in a straight line. Anytime the momentum is not going straight you have to use careful throttle. Since both games are sims I would hope they are similar.

I modded my pedals with a trick from one of the GT forums. For the brake, get a small bungee cord, hook 1 end to the bottom, wrap it around the brake and hook the other end tightly somewhere else. This will create that tension in the break as you press it further down, making it feel like a real brake. I tried this for the gas pedal, but it wasn't right, so instead, I took a rolled up sock, jammed it slightly where I could behind the gas pedal, and it adds that extra cushion to the accelerator to give it a more easier to control press. Everyone who has tried it since I did this says it is so much easier to control and feels so much better. I'll try and get a pic of it up if anyone needs help.

First US unboxing of T500RS, personally I'm not impressed. I was hoping more, for $600.00 and can only work on one game out of the box

wow $600 wheel + pedal set and the clutch doesn't work out of the box. Need to purchase a shifter somewhere else. That is terrible.

Also driving barefoot or just socks. I use my toes to modulate, works well.

Ya, no shoes helps a ton as well. But this trick adds a little more realistic feel to it.

I know, it looks ghetto, but who is paying attention to the pedals while driving :p and no, that bungee actually isn't in the way of your feet, even if you double foot it.

And damn can my dogs shed lol, time to vacuum again.

I'm trying that out. My only complaint for DFGT is the pedals.

I like the pedals on DFGT. The only complaint I've got is the wheel wobbles every so slightly after it's been plugged in and calibrated, which is annoying as hell. I have to be careful not to move the wheel in the same position outside of a race, otherwise I just hear that damn juddering noise.

Yeah thanks for that tip with the brake pedal shakey, gonna try that out myself and see how it works.

I have not posted in this thread in awhile, but I know I raved about the wheel when I first got it, and I continue to rave about it. What a difference it makes. I was actually able to get all Silver on the AMG Advanced Special Events, the ones in the rain and with no driving lines, and there is no, no way I would be able to do that with a controller. Now some may be saying "only Silver," but for me, someone who has never been able to play these sim racing games, that is a true accomplishment, and I will work my way up to Gold, actually got close a few times, but for now, I was extremely happy getting Silver in those Special Events.

It took me roughly 30 mins to get it. I had like 10 different cords, all of various length, and was testing out different methods on both pedals. I found a short tight cord worked best on the brakes, and it seemed like too much cording on the thing when trying it on the accelerator as well, and a sock really adds the cushion feel it needed, instead of that harder to press feel that a brake has.

I also had a couple friends with me, who I would have test it as well, just to make sure I wasn't wrong about the feeling. But once it is right, you will fall in love with the pressure it creates. No more locking the brakes, or putting too much force on it. With this, it is easier to slowly press down on it.

Anyone here pArticipating in this:

I am, very tough. I'm ranked about 500 over all in my region. Sad part is it is mere seconds I'm off the leaders. Very competitive.

Cool event. But the prizes seem a little redundant... most of the people I'm sure who will be in the top10 will be already using the dfgt :p

Cool thanks again for the info. I need to find some cords myself, if I do not have any pretty sure my father will so I can get some from him next time I visit my parents, but socks I have plenty of. If you do not mind, can you take a picture of the gas pedal from behind so I can see exactly what you mean with the sock?

Take a single sock, medium thickness really, and roll it up. Behind the gas pedal, you will see the /-/ with the last / behign half that size lol, and then there is a small gap where you could stuff something in/under the pedal, sorta like /-/_ <--- sock in gap. You have to mess with it, as to make sure you don't stuff it too far down where you can not full gas, and to also make sure it isn't too loose to just fall out while racing. I would say I stuffed about a inch down into the gap.

    • Most boring game ever. Repetitive, empty, predictable, and full of cliches. Total waste of time and money, IMO.
    • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
