Syrian businessman Yahya Kirdi says his consortium of Canadian and Middle East investors is in the "final stage of negotiation" to buy Liverpool.

The group claims it has agreed terms with current owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks and is negotiating a purchase agreement with the Americans.

Meanwhile, Chinese investor Kenny Huang has admitted his interest but said he had made no formal bid.

It is understood as many as six rival bids were submitted last week.

Kirdi, who is now a Canadian resident and represents the Canadian-based group of investors, said: "Agreement has been reached on all major terms including the purchase price, repayment of the existing bank debt and financing of a new stadium in Liverpool's Stanley Park.

"A formal purchase agreement between the parties is in the final stage of negotiation."

Kirdi promised that if the consortium was successful in its bid, money would be made available to Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson.

He added: "With additional money to improve the squad and financing in place to build the new stadium, LFC will be on a solid foundation to compete in the Premiership and in Europe for years to come."

Hicks and Gillett put the club on the market in April, with Liverpool's main creditor, RBS, owed about ?237m.

Martin Broughton was brought in as chairman to oversee the sale process and is hopeful a buyer can be found before the transfer window closes on 31 August.

Huang, who is the head of Hong Kong-based investment company QSL Sports Ltd, is thought to value the club at around ?325m.

A statement issued from his Hong Kong representatives said: "Mr Huang would like to emphasise that he has registered interest in investing in Liverpool FC but has made no formal bid

I think this Kirdi interest is simply a bargaining chip being employed by Gillett in order to drive up Huang's initial proposal.

Either way, we have to be careful who we get in as our new owners. Once bitten; twice shy etc.

Barca released a statement on their website after Cesc's statement:

Reciprocating, Barcelona made a press release of their own.

It read: "In the light of the statement released today regarding the contractual future of Cesc Fabregas, FC Barcelona regrets the decision of Arsenal FC to declare the player not for sale and their decision not to take into consideration the offers proposed."

Barca added that none of the bids they had made for the Gunners captain had been above £33.3 million (€40m).

The statement concluded: "None of those offers, in any way, exceeded €40m."

No apologies for tapping Cesc up or disrespecting Arsenal.. still the same arrogance... they have huge egos over their.. hopefully they'll lose all the money this season and wouldn't be able to afford Cesc next season.. now that would be justice.. realmad.gif

Flappy-hand-ski let in 3 against Legia Warsaw and Szczesny 2.. and now Wenger has come out and said he won't be buying a new keeper.. 3 of the 4 we have would have fight for the no. 1 shirt and the fourth will go on loan.. pinch.gif Our season seems to be coming to an end before the season kicks off.. how can Wenger seriously think these clowns can keep EPL teams out of they lets in 5 against Legia I just don't know..

We won the game though 5-6.. that's the only way we can win anything with these keepers.. score a LOT of goals..

England boss Fabio Capello has called up the uncapped trio of Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Bobby Zamora for the friendly against Hungary on Wednesday.

Goalkeepers David James and Robert Green are replaced by Ben Foster and Paul Robinson as only 10 of the World Cup squad are selected.

Theo Walcott and Adam Johnson are both recalled after missing out the World Cup but Joe Cole is not in the squad.

Gary Cahill, Carlton Cole and Darren Bent all get the chance to impress.

Disappointing result but I think it flatters the Mancs a bit.

I'm happy that our weak areas were highlighted while we're still in the pre-season and not in the middle of the regular season.Our defence needs sorting cause we've conceded quite a few goals in those last 4 games,hopefully it'll look better with Cech back and players in full fitness.

      The only reason I want to know where you from is because if you are not from the U.K, then why should you care what we in the U.K do or don't do? Racist I am not, I am fed up with the amount coming over here and feel they can come over here and think we need to support them. Do you know how much it costs this country to support these people coming over here? Even when we give them a place to live it is not good enough. But if you are not living in the U.K, then why should you care if we are in the E.U or not? This the problem, too many people poking their noses into where it don't belong. The dynamic updates also affect the Setup file binaries in the form of Setup updates. These Dynamic Update packages are meant to be applied to existing Windows images prior to their deployment. Dynamic Updates also help preserve Language Pack (LP) and Features on Demand (FODs) content during the upgrade process. VBScript, for example, is currently an FOD on Windows 11 24H2. This time both recovery and setup updates were released for Windows 11. The company writes: "KB5095186: Safe OS Dynamic Update for Windows 11, version 26H1: June 23, 2026 This update makes improvements to the Windows recovery environment (WinRE). After installing this update, the WinRE version installed on the device should be 10.0.28000.2335.
