Yes, the UK is only getting the special edition on PC which is basically two addon packs, Greaser and erm, can't remember the other one now, as well as a printed map of the city. I ordered mine from Game, but other places may stock it too.

its not VIC , its VITO... files

and here is the link to Tweaks - http://physxinfo.com/news/3628/mafia-ii-demo-tweaking-physx-performance/

Haha, that is awesome! I just deleted all the cloth files except for Vito - Left everything else in place and now playing with High PhysX / APEX on my ATi rig with no noticeable performance hit whatsoever, hilarious!

Just goes to show all this PhysX Nvidia hype-crap is a joke - It's easily offloaded to the CPU with a tiny, tiny tweak and the hardware part that is supposed to do it oh so well is struggling.

Gotta love games where the developers take care of "other" details, that not many might use. Alternative way to unlock the car's doors:

Also with a little modding, night time and rainy weather were unlocked int he demo:

- Night

- Rain

And both looks ****ing amazing. Especially all the lighting at night :woot:

"Hey guys,

When designing Mafia II, we optimized for each of the three different systems the game would run on to make sure the core experience was the best it could be. Because of this, there are some differences from one platform to the next. In terms of the PS3 version, I wanted to clarify a couple points you have been asking about: There will not be highly detailed grass or large pools of blood, the cloth movement is less noticeable than, for example, the PC version, and the visual fidelity in the demo is generally representative of what you'll see in the full game. "

As to the DLC screens that had grass

To questions about the DLC screens, they were taken from an earlier build of the game before we optimized for the gameplay experience. We had to make some alterations to the PS3 environment that resulted in the removal of grass. This allowed us to maintain an acceptable framerate and we can deliver a consistent gameplay experience across all three platforms.

*sigh*

It didn't run great in the demo which didn't have grass, think I'll wait till the game hits the £15-£20 price point before I pick it up.

Though they are all going pretty crazy over in the 2K forums about this at the moment, espicially over the screens that were released with the grass in them, lol.

Why not just pick the game on the PC or the XBOX360 (which by your sig., I guess you got)?

Why not just pick the game on the PC or the XBOX360 (which by your sig., I guess you got)?

I only buy Exclusive, Multi-Player, or old games (that I might have missed and pre-owned games are generally cheaper) on the 360.

And I have no urge to spend money on the full price of a game when from devs that can leave such obvious visual differences.

That and there are a whole load of games that I am more hyped for coming out soon that I believe I will enjoy more for the retail price.

They have already confirmed that the demo for the ps3 was an older build, the retail will have grass. gg nubs

Well what I quoted was what a 2K PR posted 3 hours ago, and they say the pictures with grass on were from a build before they removed the grass for the frame rates sake.

So don't get your hopes up, if it was in there I don't know why they wouldn't have said anything on their raging forums about it.

Can we just merge these threads? No point in having 2 main threads running.

Its better this way, when it comes close to a game coming out it should have a new thread so you don't get 20+ pages of random crap that don't have much to do with the final game and peoples impressions and conversations on it, and you dont to trudge through the usual random crap or guess where the conversation starts for release.

At least that is my opinion of it.

    • Good. I hope more people sue them for focusing on this worthless junk.
    • How about fire the guy who approved all the bad decisions? The guy who bought these studios in the first place? Oh wait, Satya is safe with his billions while the workers pay the price.
    • This had nothing to do with games. This is all about management wanting to squeeze as much money from Xbox to keep Microsoft's AI ambitions afloat. Someone has to make money to burn on AI.

The Ultra 9 185H features 16 cores and 22 threads running at up to 5.1 GHz. It also includes a dedicated NPU utilizing Intel AI Boost at 11 TOPS. On the graphics front, the 185H includes the still fairly capable ARC Graphics (not to be confused with the newer ARC 140T) integrated GPU with a max GPU frequency of 2350 MHz across 8 Xe-cores. It has been said that the iGPU is equivalent to the NVIDIA GeForce 3050 and GTX 1650 in gaming and synthetic benchmarks. Other highlights include an AMOLED display, LPDDR5x memory at 7467 MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and a fingerprint sensor built into the power button. AI PC? Although the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H includes a dedicated NPU, it's only 11 TOPS; therefore, it does not qualify as a Copilot+ PC. However, it can reach up to 33 TOPS with a combination of NPU, CPU, and GPU. As I said, although we only reviewed the X14 Pro, the unboxing is the same for the X16 Pro, which I noted in my review. The packaging is quite a nice experience. The outer box houses the X16 Pro box with a small compartment that contains the 5-in-1 Dock ($40 value), which appears to be an "Early Bird" inclusion. Upon removing the box cover, the X16 Pro is revealed sitting in a cardboard compartment with two small booklets of documentation. To the left of the X16 Pro are two cardboard compartments containing the 65W charger and Type-C USB cable. What’s In The Box 1 x GEEKOM X16 Pro Ultra-thin Laptop 1 x Type-C to Type-C cable 1.8M 1 x 65W GaN PD Fast Charger 1 x Warranty Card 1 x Thank You Card 1 x User Guide All products sold by GEEKOM receive a 3-year free Warranty from the date you receive the product.
