just bought the collectors edition hard copy.

first PC game i have bought in ages.. come think of it, the only games for pc i bought were "captain comic" "heretic" "hexen" "quake" "black and white" "half life 2" and this one. (maybe more, but i did not remember)

normally, i pay only for console games.... since i dont play PC much, and after downloading the game (pirated) i delete it in few days, with less then 2-3 hours gameplay.... since i do not like it too much.

however, this one seems a must for a PC, and i played the first one for free. I wanted to reward the producers by buying this one.

PC Version. but with that said...

Well the first Mafia (on PC) was a masterpiece. (one of the rare examples of video games i would use that word with)

it was (and still is) my best single player gaming experience to date. (i first played Mafia back when it was new in Aug 2002)

you actually FELT something when you completed it which basically no other games managed to do to date. i must have replayed the first Mafia at least 10+ times and i am being conservative.

because Mafia is like a quality (mob) film, it never gets old ;) (it's got the story/characters/quality gameplay. it's a unique video game experience. Mafia is in a class of it's own)

p.s. for the record... i liked the GTA games as i beat them all but i would still choose the original Mafia game (on PC) over ANY of the GTA games to date. so in other words... GTA can't hold a candle to the Mafia series in the long run.

More like the 12th. When they decide to let people download the demo according to the US time zones, it will be already the 11th in GMT+ time zones and then the servers gonna be raped and it will take a day to download.

Man, it's good to be wrong this time. Still early in the 10th, and the servers aren't raped as I expected.

Only six minutes remained to see how well the game runs on my machine and how detailed the world is.

Just played the demo ;), it was great. It ran smoothly on my old PC so optimization looks good.

Got dual core, or quad core?

Does anyone know where I can get the CE edition for the PC in the UK? Nowhere seems to have it, Game, Play, ShopTo, HMV, Gamestation etc :(

Should have my new PC built by next week, just in time for this game, costing me ?1,400 to build it though :(

    • Nice rant! Expletive after expletive after expletive. Poor petal, I've touched a nerve. Would you like a tissue to wipe those tears away. Btw, nice one calling Neowin trash. Why would you stick around when you disrespect this site and the people behind it? Just go away if you feel that way.
