Gun Game was very popular in CS 1.6. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to that game mode in Black Ops. As for the other game modes, you can see videos of them on YouTube. I just searched "black ops sharpshooter" and "black ops sticks" and watched videos of the respective game modes. They're quite interesting.

Just preordered it from Amazon, first time I've preordered a game for a LONG TIME. Don't remember the last time I did that. Only reason is so I get it in time for i41.

If you hadn't guessed, I ordered it on PC.

Also, happy birthday Sethos! :fun:

Did you use Super saver delivery? as they don't usually deliver for release date.

Call Of Duty Black Ops: Quickscoping has been Banned

You may remember that a gameplay video leaked last week showing off some sniper action in Call of Duty Black Ops, and seemingly showed the player ?quickscoping?. However, Treyarch has now confirmed that players will not be able to quickscope in the final version of the game.

That footage was taken from the closed beta of the game, but during a Q&A session on Twitter, Treyarch?s community manger Josh Olin answered some direct questions about whether or not quickscoping will be included in the game.

When simply asked if quickscoping will be possible in Black Ops, Olin replied: ?No. Quickscoping is a cheap way to play. We?re specifically going to gimp Quickscoping, sorry. Play straight-up!?

 Treyarch is cleaning up the mess that was made. I might reconsider never ever buying this game to possibly buying this game.

Haha, "banned". I'm glad they removed quick-scoping. It's really cheap in MW2. Thankfully, not many people have the necessary skill to do it.

it toke me some time but I got it going, i used to do it like crazy with a Scout in counter strike but I always hated sniping in CoD games and chose to always used the assault rifle.

and i agree, quick scoping is kinda cheap...

I am just now happy that there is split screen multi-player like in Halo! :D It's on my list to probably buy now.

Great feature if you're the people playing, sucks when you have 'those people' on the team because they suck ass - They are usually gimped visually and they end up sucking the bottom of the barrel and dragging the entire team down with 'em =/

Just pre-ordered the game...damn gun game being in this and making me want this game.

Is that the game where you only have 1 bullet on a pistol and have to kill someone to get an extra bullet? It is cool but I hope there won't be lots of campers :(

Nope, Gun Game is the gamemode where you start with a low level weapon, and with each kill you graduate to a different one.

Here's a video.

Indeed, although from my understanding, it's only going to be two-player split-screen online (whereas Halo 3 and Reach allow up to four players to go online with split-screen). That should mitigate the problem to a certain extent. At least we won't have one console taking up a significant chunk of space on a team.

And yay for the diminished power of quick-scoping. I hated it in Counter-Strike, and I'm glad that Treyarch hates it as well.

Hold on wait, Black Ops is gonna look that good on consoles? Looks like 10 x better than MW2! :s

    • No updated SSD capacity, no updated specs (not surprised tbf), just nostalgia baiting! Bring back the boot sequence and the UI as an easter egg!
    • Why? It will just cost so much more and make you PC poor and they become PC rich off your calamities! “Just because you can” isn’t a flex either!.
    • Microsoft confirms a new, useful Teams' app is coming very soon by Sayan Sen In the modern digital workspace meeting recordings and summaries are very commonplace, still finding the right recap later can be surprisingly difficult. To address that inconvenience Microsoft is working on a new dedicated meeting recap application designed to bring all meeting recaps into a single, centralized location. In a recent announcement on its Microsoft 365 roadmap website, the company has confirmed the new applet and has explained how the new experience will work and why it believes it can help users stay on top of discussions without having to search through multiple chats, calendars, or files. For those unfamiliar, meeting recaps provide a summary of key discussions, decisions, action items, and other relevant information generated after a meeting ends. They are intended to help participants revisit important points while also allowing those who missed the meeting to quickly catch up on what happened. Traditionally locating older recaps could require users to navigate through various conversations or meeting histories. The new meeting recap app aims to simplify that process by gathering all available recaps into one dedicated hub. According to Microsoft, this should make it easier to browse past meetings, review outcomes, and stay informed about ongoing projects and discussions. One notable feature of the applet is the addition of quick filters which are meant to allow users to instantly narrow down the list of available recaps and surface specific meetings without manually searching through extensive records. Audio recap is also there. If you're wondering how long these recaps will last before self-expiring, the app will provide access to meeting recaps from the past 30 days or approximately one month. You can view the feature entry here on the official Microsoft 365 (M365) website under roadmap ID 564614. Its rollout is set to begin this month (June 2026). Do keep in mind though that new feature rollouts often get delayed.
    • Does it have couch co-op is the question I have here.
