You guys are jokers. Every year it's the same "I'm never buying another CoD game" crap and now look at this, everyone's getting the newest one

I won't be getting it unless it's given to me for Christmas or something. This Call of Duty looks incredibly bland. In fact, the series has been entirely downhill since the first Modern Warfare, IMO, and I'll more than bet Black Ops continues the trend.

I'll also bet that Activision ruins the entire military FPS genre like they did the skating/X-Games genre and the music games genre with their oversaturation. Unless EA can actually challenge them with the next Medal of Honor game (or Respawn's first game, if it is military-based) and get a healthy competition going, I'd bet quite a bit of money the market for these types of games goes to crap within 3 years.

Apart from the over powered shotguns in MW2,(which they patched) what was the issue with akimbo?

People whinge about these games far too much.

Indeed. Funny thing is, I haven't been killed by Akimbo-anything in MW2 for ages now, it's NOT effective. You gimp yourself severely and is only used for the laugh-factor - People are just blowing things out of proportion.

Of course I hope we don't get pre-1887 nerf conditions, that was unbearable but I'm 100% sure Treyarch got it covered.

Halo invented everything.

Halo is like that awesome underground indie band that created every musical masterpiece known to man. Then people started copying it, because it was, like, so totally original. Halo is just so cult and hardcore. You wish you could be like Halo.

:woot:

Thank god someone has common sense. I fully agree. If I get this game giving to me I'm playing only one thing, that's one in a chamber since im a cqb-holic. Other that no thanks. I can play css if I want gungame and etc.

Really hope respawn brings something completely new to the table. They did great with CoD now something even better that brothering companies can't steal(*cough* treyarch*cough*).

Don't see this touching my PC at all since cod is primarily PC for me. Xbox maybe if friends end up buying it.

Some people actually stick to what they say @what.

@Munky: lmao that would explain your 3 MacBooks and 1 hackintosh haha

Are we forgetting this rule?

Anyway, there's a handful of unofficial gameplay videos on YouTube.

I heard whispers of supermarket deals today and the hypes already ticking over in my head. I just can't deny a good gaming deal laugh.gif It's going to be madness again at launch.

The new meme should be the COD cycle instead of the used and beaten Sonic cycle.

Complain about Activision/Bobby Kotick > Boycott next COD > Break down and buy new COD > Complain about map pack prices > Complain about Activision/Bobby Kotick > Boycott next COD > Break down and buy new COD > Complain about map pack prices > Complain about Activision/Bobby Kotick > Boycott next COD > Break down and buy new COD > Complain about map pack prices > Complain about Activision/Bobby Kotick > Boycott next COD > Break down and buy new COD > Complain about map pack prices

Share the whispers.

I reckon It will be between Asda and Sainsburys this year.

Although Morrisons was excellent last year, they announced their price so late that most people had gone to Sainsburys.

So, just gone live for Pre-purchase on Steam. And it's ?10 more expensive than pre-ordering from Game online. So I know where I'm getting it from then. :p

I'll check in my local store tomorrow, if it's ?40 there I'll order from the website, where it's ?30.

I'm not going down that cycle, personally. If they want my next purchase, they need to start trying to move the franchise forward.

I've updated the first post a bit, though the title needs changing and a mod approval but they don't seem to be responding to me...

But yeah, I would be surprised if Sainsbury's didn't do another offer on Black Ops.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops leaks, pirated, Activision gives chase

According to a report on respected tech site VentureBeat, illegal traders have begun selling pirated copies of the game online in the US.

As you may expect, Activision isn't standing for it. According to writer Dean Takahashi, the publisher has hired private investigators to quell the spread of pirated versions of the game.

These PIs are killing the pirate trade "with kindness" according to VB - via 'good-cop' tactics.

It reports: "The investigators are... approaching the pirates and telling them to please stop selling illegal copies of the game."

One 'customer' that bought a copy of the game online has told his tale on YouTube. 'Computer Healer' was tracked down by Activision's PI team, he claims - who he describes as "polite".

You can watch the first part of his testimony below (be warned, it contains swearing).

He says: "I never made a copy of the game. I never said I was going to leak this game... The best game I ever played... I wouldn't have sold the f****** for a million dollars."

    • I have never been a huge fan of libre, it feels really good but exactly when you need an advance feature for data wrangling it falls short every time or has bugs. I am all for euro office if they can deliver a good and usable alternative to MS office with backing of govt function.
    • Go on, I'll bite. How does windows (nice comment on an 'article' which doesn't actually involve it ) lock users out of their data then? Been using it since 3.1 back in 92 and not once have I been locked out of my data? Perhaps you mean Bitlocker? In which case the average user (who doesn't mess about) will have been forced to use a MSA, and in which case the recovery key would have been saved to said account..... If the user did happen to bodge around and not use an MSA then Bitlocker wouldn't have become live (as it cannot without a safe place to store the key) I want to point out Bitlocker and MSA are not connected and you can of course force it on without a safe place to store the key, but you do that with your eyes open. So your standard consumer who knows no better sets up an MSA, gets bitlocker and a recovery key stored off box, with a route to reset their password. All of this notwithstanding the fact, if your data is important, you back it up, no ifs, no buts, no-ones responsibility other than your own. Important data lives in at least two locations, one of which is offline and recovery is tested, otherwise that data wasn't really that important. Disks, fail, laptops get lost, phones end up down the toilet, tablets get stolen, if your only copy of data is on a single device you're doing it wrong.
    • Clearly that feature isn't for us. It's for the ad spam marketers so they can more directly target us about going to places we might want to go again...but without understanding context clues. Like for the flight someone took for a friend's funeral. We want to be reminded of that every time we open an app, a browser, or email, right? Right, Siri?
    • Is your Apple Watch supported? Check the watchOS 27 compatibility list by Aditya Tiwari Apple kicked off WWDC 2026 with a ton of announcements, mostly centered around Apple Intelligence improvements, the Siri AI, and Liquid Glass updates. However, there is a lot of other stuff that couldn't catch the limelight. Let's talk about watchOS 27 and which models are supported by the newest operating system. According to the Cupertino giant, watchOS 27 will be supported on the following Apple Watch models when it arrives later this year: Apple Watch Ultra 3 Apple Watch Series 11 Apple Watch SE 3 Apple Watch Series 10 Apple Watch Ultra 2 It's a stark contrast with last year's watchOS 26 update, which had almost a dozen Apple Watch models in its list of supported devices. Apple supported models all the way back to Apple Watch Series 6. That said, if you own one of the five models, you'll need an iPhone 11 (or later) with iOS 27 to install the latest update. Yes, Apple has shown some extra love to the iPhone 11, and it old horse supports the iOS 27 update. watchOS 27 beta 1 is now available for developers and interested power users through the Apple Developer Program. So, if you're among those who like to play with fire, you can download it to your supported Apple Watch. Otherwise, the public beta for watchOS 27 will be available next month. The freshly baked Apple Watch update comes with Siri AI - an advanced, fully conversational version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence due for later this year. A new dynamic app grid features icons for five Siri-suggested apps. You can use a new tap gesture to open a widget in the Smart Stack, and a new Find My app finally clears the mess of Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People on Apple Watch. Workout Buddy can run without an iPhone nearby and offers new insights based on data, including your progress for pace, distance, and workout duration. Apple improved its motion tracking algorithms to measure the distance of indoor treadmill runs and walks more precisely. Speaking of other changes, the music playback on watchOS 27 starts faster and you can create custom passes for any membership or card that uses a QR code or barcode, then easily access them in the Wallet app or pin in the Smart Stack.
    • "and pull old flight details from your email during back-and-forth conversations" The Siri I've become to know and trust. I've always wanted to pull info on old flights. /s
