I still don't like the feel of it really. Been watching a lot of videos.. but it just couldn't surpass MW2 IMHO.

how can't it? It's a different era and different war. I think it will be as good, if not better than MW2.

So, the servers for MP have gone down, and SP doesn't work for me. It gets through the first intro and then black screens with a cursor.

Overloaded probably from all the people playing hooky from work and the high schoolers who skipped school.

Just finished the SP, thought it was pretty good considering the story that was in MW2 that was all over the place at points, and was put together and more solid than MW2.

The ending section genuinely surprised me too.

Though the very first Vietnam level I still found pretty disappointing compared to the rest of it, which was the one with the infinite spawns that kept screwing me over, lol.

wtf finished the game already?

Well I got it at midnight and played it from half 12 till about 4.30ish, and then when I continued from about 1 to just before 6.

So it was at least 8 hours long on normal if your not running through all the levels and die a few times on the way too, lol.

how long did it take you? Seems like you've played an entire night :D

I had about 6 hours sleep between 6am and 1pm where I wasn't playing the game, lol.

But as I put above, about 7-8 hours in single player and I played on-line till I was level 10 too.

you beat it on Veteran?

I haven't looked the trophies/cheivy's yet...

From the SP videos I've watched.. it wasn't as Epic and Big as MW2.

Indeed, it doesn't have as many "set peices" as MW2 did, but personally I think it was a better experience and a more solid game all together, they didn't seem to throw everything in regardless of if it was going to work well together or not.

Well to me, that's a step back.. but then that's just me.

Well that's your opinion, and that's fine, lol.

But to me MW1 and 2 were like say, Transformers 1 and 2 to me, the first was a solid fun action styled move, you don't go in expecting shake spear or anything as its a summer blockbuster type film, but for Transformers 2, they threw in more set pieces, more big explosions etc.

Sure it made more money but it just wasn't as good and took away from what could have been a solid sequel but instead was missing that soul that MW had.

Its not like MW2 was bad or anything, just not as good as MW1 and BO from what I've played.

Only got about 15 minutes to play this morning but good god I love the fact that there are no cheaters yet. I had a score of 15 and 6. If I had been playing MW2 I would have had maybe a 15-16 score. I have to say I like the fact that guns seem to be a lot more lethal. It no longer takes 10 shots from a weapon to kill someone. Anyone else notice this?

Well to me, that's a step back.. but then that's just me.

I think the campaign is a lot better. A lot more variety in the gameplay and a story thats at least semi-coherent and interesting (still not very good, its a cod is about explosions not story rofl)

I absolutely LOVED the knife stealth Vietnam mission. The graphics in the rainy jungle were very impressive.

I wasn't going to buy another cod game after mw2 but I ended up caving because I have no resolve, and this seems like a good improvement all around, Multiplayer is a lot better sans the alg issues too. More recoil, more balanced, better weapon sounds, more game modes, better unlock system, dedi servers. I give treyarch props.

Also I really like that the "pace" of the multiplayer has slowed down a lot, even in modes like domination. MW2 was way too frantic and arcady. The pace seems a lot more manageable and fun to me, instead of being a spawn-then die immediately fest in any mode thats not hardcore and/or s and d.

The general gunplay makes it more balanced. More recoil, seems to take longer to scope, way longer to switch to nade launcher.

Just picked mine up at Walmart on my lunch hour. They have a display case right by the Walmart greeter when you walk in that has Black Ops "Available Now", with the PS3 and 360 version of the game. I walked in, right past the greeter, picked up the game, and checked out. BAM! (I can see not many PS3 gamers like shooters, the 360 version was almost out).

Based on the videos, this game looks like it's going to be better than MW2, especially with the multiplayer fixes.

    • Outlook classic is inherently better than new outlook, for a number of reasons. That said, if the only reason people need office is to read email, they should just use thunderbird.
    • Windows 11 is a big thumbs down from me. I used for a period of a few days while it was in insider and windows 10 was the main OS, and realised it wasn't for me. I am still waiting for Windows to be tolerable again, a shame as at one point I was very pro Microsoft.
    • Classic outlook, not only does it have a much fuller feature set, it doesn't include Microsoft attempting to sync my emails from my servers to theirs. If classic outlook is ever removed from office, and the version I paid for in 2021 stops working for some reason, I'll use Thunderbird.

Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
