I thought it took into account some form of a players skill, kinda pointless not to surely, atleast to me it would be, lol.

Not really because Rank means dick all, yes it may show a bit more experience but there is no correlation between skill and rank - Over 700 hours combined of Call of Duty 4, 5 6 and now 7 has shown me that.

So it's pointless to sort after rank, might as well get the fastest matchmaking speed by finding the best connection and that's it.

Anyone else having issues of where you are in a party of 2, you search for a game but it kicks your friend off and you're just in the game? Highly annoying.

Yes, it's the matchmaking servers being borked. We spent two hours combined over the last two days in the lobby alone, with 5-6 people trying to get everyone into the same game - Really frustrating.

found a weird glitch in single player, in Vietnam (You weren't there man!!!) after i planted the C4 and poop -> fan as i was shooting the commando and walking forward every time a shot fired it jumped forward, so with a fully automatic i leaped forward into where the enemy was and died. Sucks >.> happened on the reload again but not the 3rd time?

As for glitches i was hoping for some javelin type glitches or grenade launcher attachment glitches like we had in MW2, i found them really fun :p

FAO PC Users:

Care to post your button config?

I'm really struggling to find a comfortable setup

WASD as normal

Q for special grenade

E for lethal

CTRL for toggled crouch

space for stand/jump

C for prone

left mouse button - shoot

right mouse button - ads

middle mouse button - melee

5 for grenade laucher etc

6 for killstreak

Well so far I've been using default setup while I've managed to play, but I'll probably change to the MW2 default because that was more comfortable for me. Reason it's similar to CoD4/WaW's controls is because leaning is back. (Y)

YEAH! That happened to me!

Except it sorta went in my favour :p

I enjoy it, love the money system and playercard customizations.

That being said I still need to get used to the mechanics of the game. I never played WaW so I didn't know what to expect, but I do like it.

Oh and the lag is annoying but I got used to of after an hour or so, can't wait till it's fixed

people having any FPS problems on PC, go here: Steam Forums just edit the values it says here to 0 in the config file. oh and turn shadows off. i can run the game completely smoothly now, works perfect. playing against people who are lagging up isn't fun as you sort of have an advantage if you're not lagging and they're stuttering around. oh and the final killcam will still be dodgy but at least you'll have a good FPS.

Hey Setho's since you hate so much on the PS3 :p what were you talking about the other day about the PS3 only running 600p? Elaborate?

Are you asking him to purposely hate? Lol.

And I think it has to do with the PS3 resolution of Black Ops only being 600p, if not less.

Why is that though? The box states it can be run at 1080p/i and 700p and so on..

Mine is working fine. I picked the hardest level and now I'm stuck at the 'Kill Dargowich' mission. Been playing for 3 hours, no luck.

Haha, I started that last night. I'm at the part where you have to climb the tower. I keep ****ing dying! lol. I don't know, I guess the game looks as good as MW2 did.. so I'm not understanding the 600p stuff...

The Xbox 360 and PS3 both have the ability to increase the size of the image from a game, so if CoD:BO is 600p natively, the PS3 is then told to produce a 720p image to the TV, essentially it just makes it a size the TV can understand as TV's don't have the ability to display just any resolution to the viewer.

The difference between Native resolution and a scaled one is that the former will be of better quality than that of the up-scaled picture you would get.

The reason for games not having a native resolution can come down to many things, the hardware used and not having the resources for a higher quality image, the way the engine works, etc.

It works the same way for the 360 and a bunch of PS3 games that say 1080p, most games that have 1080p on the box are just a lower resolution being up-scaled, a lot will be 720p just made bigger, but there are a good number of funky resolutions that games use between 576p/720p/1080p and are just scaled to an appropriate size for a TV as that is the best the game can produce.

Still didn't work for me, noticable improvements but not 100% back to normal like MW2 is.

Has anyone had any success in maintaining a high K/D ratio? I was at 1.84 and I dropped down to 1.77. My excuse is lag. I'm usually put into a laggy game where the enemy seems to see me before I see them. Also, rubber-banding is possibly the most annoying aspect of this game (aside from the bizarre spawning system).

What guns have y'all been using. I've been using the AK74u with a grip and a red dot site and it's extremely accurate and doesn't kick very much. I like that black ops lets you buy only the perks and attachments that you want so I don't have to spend countless time upgrading through a gun to get the things I want from it.

    • Good, because the nonstop chattering from the voices in her head made me quit the second game.
    • This new cabinet design lets you run AMD, Intel, and Nvidia PCs inside one case by Sayan Sen At Computex 2026 earlier this month, AMD announced a couple of new X3D processors for both sockets AM4 and AM5 as it confirmed the support extension of the latter till 2029. And although Intel didn't unveil any new desktop chips, the company's Core Ultra 200S Plus series is relatively new too. Let's say though that you want the best of both worlds simultaneously, and instead of running two different systems, you can have both running together side-by-side, or rather on top of one another. That's exactly what Thermaltake's CAPO X dual system is made for doing. While it's not exactly mandatory to run AMD with Intel, or vice versa, you get the idea. As you can see in the render above, it is essentially like a double-decker PC case that is capable of holding two microATX (mATX) motherboards. Even running just one discrete graphics card in a PC can get toasty, so you may be wondering how well the cooling is designed on the CAPO X, Thermaltake has confirmed, as is evident from the marketing promo image above, that the case supports up to two 360 mm AIO liquid coolers. 420mm is not supported. In total there is room for 13 120mm case fans. In terms of I/O (input/output) options for the two systems, there are naturally two places for those ports, one at the top and one at the very bottom of the chassis in the front panel. In terms of use cases, there are many possibilities. Thermaltake itself, for example, highlights how one system can be your main PC while the other could be the AI agent PC. Another example given is how it can be used to stream and game simultaneously with dedicated systems instead of hogging one with the entire load. Nothing regarding pricing or availability was said. • There might be some passive design improvements (cooling, etc), but I doubt they'd change the core performance spec of the hardware mid-generation when they've already got a new console in development.
    • State of Decay 3 is out in 2027, reveals Plague Nests with new co-op gameplay trailer by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe A few months ago, Undead Labs broke its silence about the third entry in the State of Decay series since its announcement in 2020. Today, the studio had a brand-new trailer to reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase, finally giving players a look at the Unreal Engine 5-powered title. A broad 2027 release window is now attached to State of Decay 3 too. The studio confirmed that every scene seen in the gameplay trailer (except for the studio logo) released today is from the game with no cinematic footage. "The quality bar of the moment-to-moment experience is higher than anything we’ve achieved in Undead Labs’ history," says the studio. "State of Decay 3 is being built in Unreal Engine 5, and we’re creating better quality versions of what makes our game the survival sandbox it is, and the combat experience is really, really important to us, and I think you can see it coming through in this trailer." One new aspect of this upcoming entry is the Plague Nests. These are supposed to be dynamic, dungeon‑like enemy hubs with varied “personas” that change tactics each time one appears on a map. These areas will have the best loot in the game for players brave enough to tackle them. The combat system is being overhauled too, letting players do quick and power attacks depending on the situation. This isn't just on the player's side though, as zombies themselves now have multiple new types of behaviors depending on how fresh or decayed they are. "All of these play very differently, especially as you start getting outnumbered or when you’re making noise and running around and trying to save your rear end or the rear end of your friend next to you," adds the developer. Of course, settlement building and community management are massive parts of this third entry too. These are being further expanded with the cooperative focus, giving players much more freedom for playing together than in State of Decay 2. Players will even be able to split up and build settlements in different areas of the same map with different goals. Undead Labs confirmed that playtests are already ongoing for the title, and interested players can sign up to participate by heading over here once more slots open up ahead of the full release. State of Decay 3 is coming out on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Game Pass sometime in 2027.
