That is what i thought when i read it, two patches have been released and the game works much better now (at least for the people i know), so why downgrading? Maybe people have much free time to experiment with this :laugh:

Edit: i just saw that there is a new community update for PC users posted by JD_2020

IN PROGRESS

* • Added an option to create shaders during load time. This fixes hitching when viewing a new area of the map for the first time on some video cards.

* • Incomplete server browser results.

* • Improvements to Quickmatch results (with better ping and reduced lag)..

* • /connect

* • /reconnect

* • Improved threading performance on computers with only 2 cores.

* • Fixed random freezes in certain computer configurations.

* • Increased reserved slots to 9.

* • Improvements to the spawn system to resolve an issue where negative spawn influencers from specific game events were not always being deleted after the danger had cleared – in some matches, this was causing good spawns to be erroneously flagged by the game as bad spawns, which in turn forced actual bad spawns to get selected later in the match

* • Weekly and Monthly leaderboards will now track all kills, deaths and assists properly (All Time leaderboards were not affected by this)

* • Prevention of killstreak selection getting disabled in Combat Training under rare conditions

* • Array: Added collision to prevent players from partially clipping into a tree

* • Launch: Added collision to prevent players from strafe jumping onto an invisible ledge at the base of the rocket near B3

* • Summit: Added collision to prevent players from jumping to a location outside of the map boundary when in Custom Games where player speed is maxed out

* • Havana: Added collision to prevent players from jumping onto an invisible ledge above a doorway at C2

* • Nuketown: Adjusted a spawn point that would spawn players on top of a mannequin’s head when that mannequin was randomly spawned in that location

* • Launch: User could access a small platform outside of the intended play space below the rocket gantry by jumping to a very specific location; now blocked from access

* • Launch: User could access a small area inside geometry at vents near Dom flag A by going prone and moving around in a very specific location; now blocked from access

* • Some users reported that weapon attachment challenges were not resetting after prestige; now all are guaranteed to clear as soon as selecting the prestige option

* • Radar sweep when there are only 2 players left in One in the Chamber will stop functioning if the 2 players have multiple lives when the sweep starts

* • Villa: User can clip into rock at west edge of grid zone B2 and see through to the other side

* • Crisis: User can clip into LVT between grid zone A3 and B3 and see through to the other side

* • User can get an infinite number of 'Sam Turret', 'Care Package' and 'Sentry Gun' killstreaks (commonly referred to as the “care package glitch”)

I think there will be some nice improvements with this update.

I didn't have a single match today on 360 where the game was so laggy it was unplayable (everyone was on red and the game decided to keep the same host) or there being a host migration. I must have only completed about 3 games because of the random stoppages because we lost connection to the host.

I just don't understand why every CoD manages to maintain its incredibly poor network connection status.

Aww the awesomeness that is matchmaking. I feel for you dude. I get those games alot too. Even with region preferences it doesnt always help. I wish they would make everyone happy and bring back user hosted lobbies but still include matchmaking for those that want it. You could host your own game and then let people do a server search or incorporate the matchmaking to put people in user hosted lobbies that are using that function. Also show an accurate ping representation so if people get matched into a hosted lobby that isnt necessarily great, they can back out and find something else.

Sadly this trend of ****ty network code will continue because matchmaking is the easy way out for developers. You can thank Bungie and Halo 2's success for the widespread implementation of matchmaking.

Ugh.

I've tried countless times to improve the performance of this game, to no avail. It constantly stutters and is generally poor. Any tweaks I make to increase performance leave the stuttering there, even when I reduce the resolution to 800x600. :no:

Tempted to just go back to playing MW2 or just keep playing TF2 I guess.

SPAS with lightweight, sleight of hand pro, and marathon on Nuketown makes for a great time. Throw down a claymore and you're almost always guaranteed multiple kills per life.

Ahh, the SPAS is my bread and butter. Try it on Summit during a domination match, same setup or swap that claymore for a jammer. Always good times with the SPAS-12. Best shotgun handsdown IMO when setup with lightweight, sleight of hand, and marathon.

Managed to get the video sorted in original condition using youtube's "dispute" function to dispute their audio block (here's hoping it lasts and they dont change their mind). So here's my first proper attempt at making a video, called "Swords and Sidearms" in wonderful 1080p :D:

Nicely put together video! You picked a damn good song to go with it as well.

I'd probably throw my controller if I got owned by the python from that distance, lol.

As always, people are still backing out of games. :|

Ugh my mate does it ALL THE TIME. If he suddenly goes negative he just leaves, and a lot of the time he's the host. It's SO annoying, and he constantly moans about Core and how so many people sponge on it.

Tired of being unable to create a class for custom 4 and 5 slots..doesn't matter what I do or when I try (after rounds, after restarting the game) I'm unable to save my changes to custom class slots 4 and 5 :(

My weapons and equipments stay but the class names keep resetting to Custom Class X

It wouldn't bother me so much but I can't believe Treyarch can't improve their system to actually put people in games in progress. People will quit and then we end up playing one or two guys the rest of the match.

Definitely found one of the better combos in the game and I've seen quite a few people use it (for good reason); AK74U with Warlord Pro so you can have the Grip and the Dual Mag attachments. With the help of that combo I was able to get three chopper gunners on a domination at Nuketown and rack up my best game yet, 81 and 5. :p

It's quite frustrating when you're in a game with 3 or less players on the enemy team.

Anyway, I prefer using a silenced AUG with Ghost Pro, Sleight of Hand Pro, and Ninja Pro. Most times, I'm able to get a Blackbird, Chopper Gunner, and Attack Dogs (8, 9, & 11 kills respectively).

Yea I definitely need to switch to using Sleight of Hand so I can get the pro bonus of it. I used it almost exclusively for the first couple months of MW2 before switching to Scavenger. Really though, if I switch to Sleight of Hand from Warlord Pro, all I'm giving up is an extra grenade.

With Ninja Pro do you show up on the other team's mini map if you don't use a silencer? I thought you didn't, so I took the silencer off and people started sneaking up on me, put the silencer back on and they didn't. It might just be because of the general noise, but it got me wondering.

Ninja Pro only allows you to move silently and does not affect your gun. Taking off the silencer makes you appear on the mini map when you fire your weapon.

So what difference does Ninja Pro make? You can still move silently from normal Ninja.

    • In addition to the "sidebar app list" and "Collections" features, Microsoft will also deprecate the "Drop" feature. Before you publish this news and credit another site, here is the original source: https://x.com/i/status/2067838711870439583 .
    • Looks like the 7.1 is fake effects, can it at least do real 5.1? It says 'virtual 7.1' in all descriptions.
    • You can't, if you didn't notice, it doesn't support surround at all, it's right in the spec list.
    • Hi — I’m always interested in soundcards. Like displays, I just want to know I’m getting as much clean “sonic juice” into my brain as possible as the years take their toll. I’m not entirely sure what to take away from this review, though. It doesn’t really tell me whether the AE‑X is a good product or who it’s actually for. Most of what I’m getting is: there’s a driver to install, here’s what it looks like, and here’s what’s in the box. There’s a lot of emphasis on the SPDIF input. When you mention not needing to switch headphones between console and PC — does that mean the PC has to be powered on just to pass audio through? That seems like a fairly big waste of energy. Is this more something a streamer would use alongside a capture card? How are you testing the sound? (Also, you might want to clarify that you’re using the headphones in wired mode when you mention they’re wireless.) You mention the lack of EMI shielding — how much real‑world difference does that make compared with typical motherboard audio? On multi‑channel: what exactly isn’t supported? Does this mean Windows spatial audio (Dolby Atmos for Headphones, DTS Headphone:X, etc.) won’t work, or just that the card itself doesn’t decode surround formats? And are there any true multi‑driver “surround” headphones left that would even use that? You also highlight support for high‑impedance headphones — but what does that translate to in practice? How does it compare to driving the same headphones from a normal device, and does it make any difference for everyday, lower‑impedance models? In short, who is this card actually targeted at?
