[Official] CR-48 ChromeOS Laptop Shipment-Tracking

Recommended Posts

I filled out the extended form, waited till my town showed up on the wave 3 list and than submitted with the chrome tab form.

So even though you knew your town was on the list you filled out another form?

What was the point of that?

Because at that point if I had gotten it that one was mine, if it was someone else in my town then that means they hadn't accepted my original one. And since I'm pretty sure they won't send to the same address twice it gives me another chance if it isn't mine and does nothing if it is mine coming to my town.

There was only one sent to my city from the first three batch. I called up UPS and found that it wasn't coming to my address. That sucks. Hopefully, Google ships out few more to my city and I'm one of the selected ones.

I never get lucky to win anything like this.

So far in the first three batches, there has been a grand total of ONE shipped to my city, and it is the capital city of my state (largest city as well), so I'm really holding out hope for a larger shipment to my area next week. Some cities seem to be getting a LOT of them, such as Jacksonville, FL which I noted earlier (I think I counted 10+ going there so far).

San Francisco got a sick amount of them too, already.

What number do I call to check the address a particular order number is going to?

Call UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS (742-5877).

Say "track a package", say your tracking number, and say "agent" to get to a customer service rep. Tell them that you want to make sure the address is correct, or something. They gave up the address to the one I asked about very easily, so you shouldn't have any trouble. Even though the address wasn't mine, I said "Alright sounds good!" Haha  :p

Oh, I'm sure there are other cities as well that are getting more than their fair share. i just happened to notice Jacksonville since I was searching the lists for "Jackson" and kept seeing the Jacksonville results (and a couple for Jackson, TN).

Don't know if this has been posted or not, but here's a tracker where you can enter your city or zip code to see if any are headed to your city: http://addicted-gamer.com/cr48-tracker/

    • Dude get a clue, LTSC is Enterprise, not even legal for consumers, and ESU is not mainstream support cycle, just an extended security updates period.
    • Nvidia is your issue more so than linux itself. I did used it for a while with an old 1060 3gb, but using propietary drivers was kind of messy.
