It was due to certification, PC Beta was ready they were just waiting for console cert before they could move ahead.

The alpha url for BF3 was http://bf3alpha.battlefield.com, http://bf3beta.battlefield.com has just appeared today and it looks like Apache has only just been set up, Italian Battlefield Facebook page are teasing that some news is coming tomorrow that everyone has been waiting for, so it looks like the beta is due this week.

My guess is weekend for early access (MOH:LE and Alpha testers) and then monday onwards for open beta.

Did you read the post that I linked? "stating that the beta has passed certification for all three platforms".

And I don't remember any bf3alpha.battlefield.com. I used http://battlelog.battlefield.com/ to play the alpha.

I place my bet on Sept 27th for early 48hr access then Sept 29th being available to everyone. Gamespot is holding an exclusive BF3 Tournament on the 26th that will be streamed so it wouldn't be released before then.

That's when the open beta starts. People that pre-ordered BF3 on Origin or bought the limited edition of MoH can play the beta on the 27th.

They can **** off, we already had Op Metro and Rush mode, Caspian Border on conquest mode was ready enough for a trade show then it should have been ready for Beta.

Op-Metro is a **** map, I was expecting Caspian. I thought this was suppose to be a true BF game? I don't want to play Rush, with no vehicles.
