Mass UFO sightings

Recommended Posts

They are always out there, flying in circles and up and down. I don't think they normally want to be detected. It could be that these spacecraft were malfunctioning.

It could be, though, that they are trying to get earthlings used to the idea of alien invaders, to make their take-over of our planet less of a shock for us.

They've certainly been behind most of the sci-fi comics, books, films and hoaxes out there, trying to prepare us for the coming enslavement of mankind. :alien:

I watched the video. I do not contend that we are not alone in the vastness of our universe. But I find it impossible to believe that any intelligent lifeform would visit our planet and parade around in mysterious ways seemingly ignorant of the nearly seven billion intelligent lifeforms on our planet. Could they be that arrogant? Possibly, who knows, but I somehow doubt it. So I say, this video brings no new evidence to support the existence of extra terrestrial life, but it does make sensational journalism.

Point taken but look at some of the footage that is showing up (not just in the video but elsewhere). I do believe that another life form would be that arrogant. Wouldn't you if you were "them"? I can imagine the mass hysteria that would ensue. Why not show you presence a little bit at a time?

"They want the major of population centers wipe out... So that the few that are left will be more easly controllable". Ok, who are "they". And if "they" are moving into dimensions (lol?) why they wanna keep a few of us?. Oh, to be more easly controllable, to do what?. And why us, what make us so special?. Oh, I see, 2012, on a planet somewhere in the galaxy/dimension, where some stone-culture predicted 5000 years ago something, that wont ever happend. Oh yea, we are so special...

They come from our water, like Battle: LA. Great, that movie really sucks.

I really don't know how to comment other than saying be open to possibilities. We as a human race don't know everything.

I believe in ghosts, but mythical creatures (i.e. Bigfoot) and aliens are nothing but a joke to me. Wake me up when they have incontrovertible

proof.

Aliens are a joke to you, but you believe in "ghosts"?

This is probably one of the funniest things I've heard for a while unless there's sarcasm included.

So you believe that humans are the only intelligence in the whole universe? Do you know that we are living in a galaxy called Milky way and we had not explore not even 1% of the milky way and in the whole universe there are hundreds if not thousands of more galaxies? So you have to be kidding if you believe that we are the only one in the universe.

A very eery video indeed. The call at the end really does sound real! I'm a believer in UFO's yet I've never seen one... My mother has and ever time I ask her about it she creeps out. Really gonna try and get her to illustrate her very personal sighting and might post her story in this forum.

I think whatever those UFOs with the weird tails are, are ours. They have to be testbeds of some kind. Right? Fascinating to say the least.

But, personally, I do not think we are alone. The galaxy is a bit more crowded than we had originally thought, and to think that out of this galaxy and the billions of others out there, each containing countless stars, we are the only ones here is insane.

Yep, I believe in ghosts. But only because I had an "encounter" with one when I was a kid, and it messed me up for a while. Since I have actually seen something like that with my own eyes, I believe it. Aliens, however, I have not, so I refuse to believe in them until I see the evidence. A bunch of inbred hicks from god-knows-where talking about butt probes won't convince me. A crappy, stereotypical "artist rendition" of tall, skinny men with big heads and eyes won't convince me either.

Of course, UFO's do exist. The question is whether they're spacecraft driven by aliens or whether they are how we choose to describe limits of our knowledge. I tend to believe in the latter until I see evidence of said aliens. I have seen no aliens in this thread, but however atmospheric phenomena and potential meteorites.

How are you going to see 'evidence', sitting at a computer ?

Looking at photos and videos probably won't convince you of anything.

You need to go to the frequent sightings areas, talk to actual witnesses, and watch the skies for yourself.

And it is not impossible, but few Aliens are going to pick you up, and give you a joy ride. ;)

Some are not UFOs. The Norway one was a missile and Moscow is a punch hole cloud (http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=7362).

China one looks to me like it could be another missile failure.

EDIT: More punch hole clouds http://www.darkroastedblend.com/2008/12/punch-hole-clouds.html

Yeah, the B-2 Bomber was a huge meteorite... you guys gotta remember that back in the 80's when the B-2 was tested people always saw black triangle craft, here we had the B-2! it wasn't an atmospheric phenomena or meteorite, it actually was a UFO... because no one had a clue what it was

it gets even weirder when you see something like the B-2 break the sound barrier, it looks like a flying saucer then

    • Usually the bigger ones with many fixes/changes take a few, theyre an exception to the rule most likely
    • If you don’t get lucky with Valve’s Steam Machine reservation system, you can make your own Steam Machine instead. Valve says that “starting with the SteamOS 3.8 release, you can put together your own Steam Machine using whatever PC parts you want.” SteamOS 3.8.10 launched last week with a slew of updates, including “improved compatibility with recent Intel and AMD platforms.” Alongside that improved compatibility, Valve is giving gamers the green light to install SteamOS on their own desktops. In an interview with The Verge, Valve’s Pierre-Loup Griffais said Valve has been “rolling out improvements to [SteamOS] so it’s more compatible with desktop hardware,” including eventual support for Nvidia graphics. Griffais says Valve has “a growing team” working on Nvidia driver support for SteamOS, adding, “We’re collaborating with Nvidia very closely.” While he mentioned that Nvidia support might not come this year, Griffais emphasized that “it’s certainly something that we’re working on in the background.”     Subscription not needed: https://archive.fo/Tssfc Subscription needed: https://www.theverge.com/games/953411/valve-steamos-desktop-nvidia
    • I thought they were supposed to reduce the amount of restarts needed to install these updates? It took 3 restarts to install this update...
    • I know an idiot at work who is "Director for innovation projects" and inevitably has been tasked with following up on this whole trend of "AI and its work applicability". He recently sent out a survey on the topic, for the workforce to disclose their usage and attitudes towards AI. The survey was badly, sloppily typed out, the questions and answers (when multiple choices) were loosely correlated and, all and all, it would already be miserable in the times of MS Office Autocorrect alone. Then, I had AI responding to it all (on the open-ended questions) with beautiful, to-the-point prose after I provided it with minor but proper guidance, taking me under 10 minutes. All this to say that I am sure that if AI comes to replace someone, it will still be me, and the other idiot will still stay.
