Alongside price hike, Xbox Game Pass received almost 50 more games today

Microsoft made some major changes to its Xbox Game Pass subscriptions today. If you missed it, this included changing up the Core and Standard plans, launching Xbox Cloud Gaming out of beta, and a massive price hike to the Ultimate tier subscription. However, it also expanded the Game Pass library in a big way, giving Ultimate subscribers almost 50 more games to jump into starting today.

Most of the additions are a part of the Ubisoft+ Classics catalog, which now arrives as an added benefit for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, much like how EA Play has been available on the platform. The subscription, separate from its premium Ubisoft+ offering, usually costs $7.99 per platform.

Outside of the massive number of classic Assassin's Creed games, Hogwarts Legacy is the biggest arrival to the platform today, letting Xbox players loose in the massive open-world Warner Bros. hit.

The newly revamped Premium and Essential plans also received games today, but they are mostly Ultimate titles being moved around, and not fresh additions. Hogwarts Legacy is available on the Premium plan too, starting today, however.

Moreover, the PC Game Pass plan did not receive any changes to its benefits or games today. However, it did receive a price hike, bumping it up from $11.99 a month to $16.49.
