Android Oreo is finally making its way to the BlackBerry Motion

While there has been a ton of news regarding Google's latest Android OS, Android 9.0 Pie, the update is only available for select handsets at the moment. The rest of the Android population is either on Android Oreo or worst yet, still running Android Nougat. BlackBerry Motion owners are of the latter, but it looks like salvation is finally at hand, as the Android Oreo update is making its way to handset owners in North America.

According to CrackBerry, the update is hitting BBD100-2 variants but could make its way to other units soon. If you're curious to see whether your device is eligible, be sure to head into your app drawer and look for the 'Updates' app. Once open, you can hit the 'System' tab and check for available updates. If you don't have it available, just be patient, as we have yet to see the update arrive on our model as well.

With the Android Oreo update coming nearly a year after its original release, one can only wonder how long it will take BlackBerry to update to Android 9.0 Pie.
