Another round of updates for Windows 8.1 Preview

Patch Tuesday is happening again, for Windows 8.1 Preview and Windows RT 8.1 Preview at least, with an additional five updates hitting the OSes today a mere 14 days after the first wave of updates.

Patch Tuesday is happening more frequently at the moment, for the Windows 8.1 Previews at least. Just two weeks ago, the first round of updates for the Windows 8.1 Preview arrived and today, any of you preview users out there should start getting a Windows Updates available status, depending on your settings of course.

Like the previous updates, both x86 and x64 versions will be available, but only two updates specifically mention compatibility with the Windows RT 8.1 Preview.

Issues address include a compatibility update for Windows 8.1 and RT 8.1, fixing scrolling issues in ListView and improving the search experience in SkyDrive. You can see the full list, plus links to the Microsoft KB articles here.

You can download the updates manually, check Windows Update for their availability, or if you’re configured to automatically download and install updates, you won’t have to do anything but wait for the magic to happen. This second wave of updates also show that Microsoft is committed to bring the best possible experience to the OS’ early adopters. Jolly good show Microsoft!
