Microsoft win out, finally take ownership of xboxone.com

Microsoft has successfully complained to the National Arbitration Forum, being granted ownership of both xboxone.com and xboxone.net domains from the UK resident that registered them.

Following the reveal of the Xbox One name, Microsoft were rushed into registering the URLs, like xboxone.com and xboxone.net. But they couldn’t have those domains thanks to an opportunistic UK resident registering them. But Microsoft has won out.

Following their complaint to the National Arbitration Forum (NAF), Microsoft are now the proud owners of the domains xboxone.com and xboxone.net.

At the time of writing, the WHOIS for both show the registrant as Microsoft Corporation, but there is nothing but a GoDaddy placeholder page showing at the moment. Don’t expect it to be long before Microsoft get their content onto the site!

While Sony haven’t challenge the playstation4.com domain, which redirects to Playstation news site PSX Extreme yet, Nintendo were denied in their complaint for the wiiu.com domain.
