Hehe, hey! don't run off and hide, Neowin needs your help. :D
As y'all know our server is capable of hosting Neowin but not additional files as the bandwidth just becomes crazy.. to give you an idea: Vincent (a news reporter on Neowin) donated a server to us and we put all the files there, well after using around 48GB a day he pulled it because it was giving troubles on his end, fair enough.. since then I've been juggling the files around (Visual Styles and Logon Screens - total 21mb) different servers including the Neowin.net server. Well our host "reminded us" that our bandwidth shot up to a 78GB a day. So we pulled them from our server too, loaded them up on Vincents back-up server, the response = files were DELETED on the 2nd day.
So basically if we are to continue to offer Visual Styles and Logon Screens from Neowin we will need someone to Donate a file server that can pull at least 40GB and a (current) max of 80GB a day - thats alot isn't it
We at Neowin are non-commercial, we are sponsored by Hosttyme, we make no money AT ALL from the site (apart from the occasional software license) so we cannot even think about buying a file server for Neowin. This will have to be totally free and donated.
The only other solution is to upload your themes to your personal webspace and offer them for download that way. 1 file will not make such a difference, over 40 on the same space will.
Only serious applicants need apply, and even then you must be aware that you will be giving Neowin up to 80GB a day for free by doing so. We tried, but Im afraid we haven't the resources to offer files at this moment. - Neobond
