Electronic Arts has today announced that it will release NCAA Football 2005 for all current generation consoles in July. The latest title in EA's college football franchise will be the first in series to give players a home field advantage, with the crowds and gameday atmosphere directly impacting their performances.

Further details on NCAA Football 2005 are scarce at present, although EA has confirmed that the University of Pittsburgh Panthers' Larry Fitzgerald will be the cover athlete for the game. Wide receiver Fitzgerald was the first sophomore ever to be named the Walter Camp Player of the Year, won the Biletnikoff Award as the country's top receiver, and was named a unanimous All-American.
