Fallout New Vegas' final three DLC mini-expansions revealed

Fallout New Vegas' players have been waiting patiently for news of the promised three final DLC releases for the post-apocalyptic RPG game. Today publisher Bethesda Softworks finally revealed the titles and details of those DLC mini-expansion packs, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, the first of which will be released in two weeks.

According to a post on the Bethblog web site, the Honest Hearts DLC pack will be released for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms on May 17. The pack takes you out of the New Vegas setting and into the Zion National Park of Utah. However your caravan comes under attack and your player character gets caught up in "a war between tribes and a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man." Sometime in June, the Old Worlds Blues DLC pack will be released for Fallout New Vegas. This new mission has you getting captured and becoming a part of a "science experiment." According to the press release, "You’ll need to scour the Pre-War research centers of the Big Empty in search of technology to turn the tables on your kidnappers or join forces with them against an even greater threat."

Finally in July, Fallout New Vegas players will be able to download and purchase the final DLC pack for the game, Lonesome Road. This new mission links back to the beginning of the original game when a courier "refused to deliver the Platinum Chip". Now he is back and promising to finally tell you why but only if your character agrees to go on one final mission. The press release states that the mission is, "a job that leads you into the depths of the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms."

All three DLC packs will be priced the same when they are released. Xbox 360 owners will download each pack for 800 Microsoft points while PS3, Steam and Direct2Drive users can purchase the packs for $9.99 each.
