First look at BlackBerry's next Android handset codenamed 'Vienna'

For a number of years, BlackBerry has failed to capture the hearts of consumers with their BlackBerry 10-powered devices. With waning sales and market share, it looked as though BlackBerry would not be able to continue in a market that had become dominated by iOS and Android. But earlier this year, there was a glimmer of hope in a handset that would eventually become known as the Priv.

With the official release of the Priv, it looks like BlackBerry could continue to forge a new path with Android as CrackBerry has uncovered a second Android handset that could be in the works dubbed 'Vienna'.

Unlike the Priv - which has a slide-out physical keyboard - Vienna looks more like a traditional BlackBerry handset with a fixed keyboard instead. Naturally, information about the device is limited and it is still unclear when or if Vienna will come to fruition, as things of this nature can often change.

While it's a bit early to tell whether BlackBerry will be able to "right the ship" with Android, it does seem as though they are committed to the OS.
