Five Former EA Employees Establish New Studio

Deep Fried Entertainment or DFE is the new kid on the development block. Formed by five former EA Black Box employees they hope to, "capitalise on the creative freedoms and technical innovations that often elude larger, assembly line production companies."

The studio was formed by, Phil Weeks, Russell Rice, Steve Tolin, Ryan Bedard and Brian Tolin. Between them they have worked on such titles as Need for Speed Underground 1 & 2, MDK and Baulder's Gate. Between them they have 35 years of experience in the industry, so there is no lack of experience in making hugely popular games.

So far DFE has licences to develop titles for the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS and are in talks with major publishers.
