Free PlayStation Plus games for August announced

Every month members of Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service get to download two free gaming titles off the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita. Apart from free games, subscribers get additional benefits such as exclusive discounts, cloud saves, online multiplayer, and other content.

Last month's PS Plus freebies were Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition and Horizon Chase Turbo. As for this month, Sony has just announced that subscribers will get to enjoy the complete WipEout Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4 free of charge. Both titles will be available to download on the PlayStation Store from August 5, 2019, until September 2, 2019.

The WipEout Omega Collection included in August's PS Plus subscription will include Combining WipEout 2048, WipEout HD and the HD Fury expansion. Additionally, the entire game is also compatible with PlayStation VR.

For those PlayStation Plus members who have yet to download July's free titles, they still have time until August 4 to pick them up.

A 12-month PlayStation Plus membership costs $59.99, coming in at around $4.99 per month. Alternatively, members may opt to purchase a 3-month subscription for $24.99 or on a monthly one priced at $9.99. Sony also offers a 14-day free trial to try out the service before committing.
