Gainward to introduce new 8X TI 4200

CLOSE NVIDIA partner Gainward is about to release its new lamp and to trade it for the old one. The new Aladdin's lamp is called the Ultra/650-8X XP and is based on Nvidia's newish NV28 chip, the TI 4200 that comes with AGP 8X support now.

This card will be clocked at a rather impressive speed, just10 MHz below specification of the non-AGP 8X TI 4600, 290 MHz for GPU and 640MHz to memory and it should give the performance of AGP 4X TI 4600. The card will feature 128MB DDR MicroBGA memory with 3.3 ns access time and will have the standard TV in/out feature as well with DVI and VGA out.

We assume that this card will be a good choice since it will give you a great performance for below €/$200, which is the target price. The cards should ship as soon as next week
