Games with Gold: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and Destroy All Humans! are now free

Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate holders now have two more games they can add to their libraries as bonuses. Just as the June Games with Gold announcement detailed, the first wave includes Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse for Xbox One and Destroy All Humans! (the original Xbox version) for the Xbox 360. The latter game is also available for Xbox One owners since it is part of the Backward Compatibility program.

A Gold activated account can be used to claim the duo using the store links listed below:

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse (Xbox One)

Embark on an all-new adventure with Shantae, the hair-whipping belly dancing genie. After losing her magic, Shantae teams up with the nefarious pirate Risky Boots in order to save Sequin Land from a curse. As a pirate, Shantae gains new weapons to advance her quest, slay monsters, battle epic bosses…and hopefully get her magic back in the bargain!

Destroy All Humans! (Xbox 360 and Xbox One)

This is your chance to experience the other side of an alien invasion. Take on the role of alien Cryptosporidium 137 and terrorize the people of Earth to harvest their DNA in the most brazen action-adventure you've ever played. Take over all of humanity using a variety of alien weaponry on land or in the air. Take one giant step on mankind!

Those who missed out on grabbing Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr from the previous Games with Gold wave still have until June 15 to claim it on the Xbox One. The game is slated to be replaced by Coffee Talk the day after.

Keep in mind that Xbox 360 games claimed via a Games with Gold promotion will continue being playable even if the Gold subscription is discontinued. However, claimed Xbox One games are only playable while the account has an active subscription.
