- The multiplayer beta for Uncharted 3: Drake's Fortune is now open to everyone that has a Playstation 3 console. The beta ends on July 14.
- It looks like Sony Online's first person shooter MMO sequel Planetside 2 (formerly named Planetside Next) will get its official reveal on Thursday evening around 10 pm Eastern time.
- A massive patch for the post apocalypse RPG Fallout New Vegas is due for release later this week.
- Bad news for Battlefield 3 fans. Developer Digital Illusions doesn't plan to release mod tools for the upcoming shooter.
- The streaming PC game service has signed a deal to offer games from publisher Capcom on various web sites.
- Several former members of Titan Games (makers of Fat Princess) have formed a new development studio, Carbon Games.
- Financial analysts have lowered their forecasts for Take Two Interactive due to lower than expected sales of Duke Nukem Forever.
- Electronic Arts will stream the big announcements from its press event on Thursday on its official web site.
- Rise of the Immortals, the fantasy action-RTS game from Petroglyph, has just launched its open beta test.
- The fantasy RPG Lord of the Rings: War in the North is getting a special collector's edition when its released this fall.
