Dennis publishing announced today that this year's award would be presented at an event held in London on November 5th. The public following industry nominations in each category votes for the award, which was first, created at 1983. No futher details were given about the ceremony at the moment, but Dennis Publishing promised a high-profile host, largest media partners and dazzling event.
"The Golden Joystick Awards honor the quality of the games themselves, making them one of the most important and respected accolades in the business," gushed Dennis' group publishing director Duncan Tickell. "We can't wait to reveal what titles have really captured the hearts, minds and thumbs of our gamers."
