Google and uBreakiFix offering free Pixel repairs to victims of Hurricane Florence

Those affected by Hurricane Florence in the coastal Carolinas, Virginia, and beyond whose Pixel devices have been damaged by the typhoon can now get a free repair from Google and uBreakiFix.

Third-party repair provider uBreakiFix usually charges a certain amount for the services it offers to customers. In 2016, the repair shop teamed up with Google to provide Pixel phone repairs in the U.S. and Canada for a fee.

Thankfully, in aid of the victims of Hurricane Florence, Google and uBreakiFix are now offering free repair services to the owners of Pixel devices that have been damaged by the catastrophe. The service is available to affected customers in the coastal areas of South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and beyond through October 19. The repair shop will fix cracked screens and water damage.

It is worth mentioning that Pixel owners do not need to schedule an appointment to take advantage of the offer as it is available to walk-in customers. They can also look for a nearby repair shop by visiting uBreakiFix's location tracker or calling the company's customer support team at (877) 320-2237.

uBreakiFix is just one of the many third-party repair shops partnering with Google to provide repairs to customers, although the Mountain View-based search giant offers a warranty and an optional accidental damage plan.
