Intel prices up Prescott desktop processors

CHIP GIANT Intel has told its partners the kind of prices they can expect to pay as the LGA 775 Prescotts roll out, complete with bright and shiny Numbers. According to recent roadmaps seen by the INQ, it will move to reduce prices on its 520 2.8GHz Pentium 4 again in July to help push along the LGA775 platform and the Grantsdale push that starts in earnest in Q3 of this year.

Intel has also told its customers about the prices of its Celerons with numbers when they're launched in June. These Prescott Celerons have 533MHz system buses, 256K of cache and will be available at 2.8GHz (the 335), 2.66GHz (the 330), and at 2.53GHz (the 325).
