Lead PHP developer quits

One of the lead developers of the PHP Zend Engine, as well as a lead developer for the thread safety system and other core components of the PHP project, has quit. The developer, named Jani Taskinen, has been involved in in the PHP project for six years. In a post to the php-internals mailing list, Jani stated "Thank you all for the last 6 years or so. It has been fun (sometimes) and many times not so much fun. Unfortunately I have had enough and I don't want to be associated with this project anymore." . Jani has been a big contributor to the project, and this news will most likely have an impact throughout the PHP community.
